Good cafe with a great view of the palace. Ample seating both outside and inside. Lovely fresh spread and drinks, with a special lunch on sundays.

Such a shame that when needed, experienced staff are not seen and leave really rather untrained and lost looking, members of the team to 'cope' as best as they can. Not really fair to them or indeed to us paying customers. We chose to sit outside in the rare sunshine but struggled with the untidyness and debris left by other diners. Rather tardy and unkempt tables and chairs, not cleared or indeed cleaned from previous mucky customers. After some stacking and reshuffling we sat down with our numbered wooden spoon. The coffee, was rather good, well priced and there was choice in the cake section that would shame many other coffee and cake establishments. The brunch menu was varied and well priced. Nice view. You were busy. I get that. But don't neglect the importance of clearing. If this mess is the front of the house, I can only imagine what's going on in the back.

The Bishops Table set in the grounds of the Bishops Palace and Gardens is worthy of a stop. A good selection of food and drink and is dog friendly inside and outside. The vegan roll and Cornish pasty were just the right temperature to be eaten hot. The staff were nice. Would eat here again.

Really lovely cafe, I come quite a lot for tea and cake. Lots of seating both inside and outside. I did come recently for a roast lunch the food was lovely but I felt like we could’ve had a bit more meat for the price of it. Apart from that love this place. I would recommend.
