Dreadful. One star is too much. An unfit for purpose practice, where care is rationed, and made intentionally inaccessible by Gatekeepers of Doom, so nobody hears your pain. Getting an appointment involves the unfit for purpose e-consult, and if you’re deemed worthy enough (or still alive), given the ‘call for an appointment’ lark, which in itself is designed to be a deterrent. Calling for an appointment is a trial in itself: ‘no appointments call back tomorrow’ etc, by which time there’s nothing once again. Or a telephone ‘consultation’ at a time that suits the Practice. What other business has continued to operate with glee under COVID restrictions??!! One thing that does intrigue me is that over-70s friends and relatives seem to get an appointment at the drop of a hat…. I’ve moved to another Practice, where care seems to be paramount, rather than just another game of Monopoly. Stand-by for the ‘cut-and-paste response….

I’m just so confused. I’ve been told to book in a lung function test along with a blood test by doctor. No one told me I should have received information days before my lung function appointment? I turned up to my appointment thinking I was getting it done. (Bare in mind this is twice now) One of the nurses tell me I have no records. And one tells me I’m not even on the list to get it done? Even though I’ve booked it by reception? I have been turned away told I will be getting a call back? The nurse hasn’t even booked it in for me. It’s just so fustursting trying to book one appointment! Now I’m back to square one!

Avoid this practice. Supposed call on the day for an emergency appointment and it’s a first come first serve basis. No allocated appointments for infants. Didn’t get an appointment in AM after 1 hour of waiting being 30th in queue, so called back at 1300 and was no 1 in the queue, got through promptly and explain all the details to receptionist, but got called back at 1430 and told earliest appointment to be seen was 1535. I also said I needed to avoid school pick up time as I’m a single parent. I was clear of how poorly my under 2yo is with fever over 40 degrees and not eating for 3 days and has shivers, and was on 111 call overnight. yet somehow there was 10 other people ahead of my child and some pre booked? And child was assessed with other people and others were more urgent. Clearly NOT a first come first serve basis. This is not the first instance of them having an appalling service especially with emergency appointments and repeat subscriptions. Took 3 years for them to actually get their act together and get it auto renewed.

Called to make multiple appts as i have a few things needing to be followed up after years of waiting lists and needing to be dealt with. I asked if i needed to make multiple appts for said follow ups, girl on phone confirmed to relay everything to doctor in one go, even though i mentioned this was never a thing before. Receptionist who was on the phone said "it should be fine" and booked it. Waited 4 weeks for that appt even though one of my issues may be urgent. I get to the appt and the Receptionist asks what I'm coming in for(which I thought was odd at first). The doctor comes out 20 minutes after my appt time to tell me "their systems are down" and asked if i got a text message telling me about the spontaneous "cancellation" (which i didnt get until 2.5 HOURS AFTER I GET BACK VIA PUBLIC TRANSIT.)and that she can't do much of anything. I explained that I have limited mobility and I had to come by train and bus to get to this appt and was very polite about it, so she then said she would try her best as they have "no access" even though I offered to log into my frimely health app to save the trip. (I also found it weird other patients were being seen just fine before and after i went in). After explaining everything in summary and offering to show my frimely health app to get a run down as she said that was her main issue was not being able to see my notes(which at first she seemed on board but then decided against it.) Said it sounded like I needed quite a few referrals and told me to go to the Receptionist to be booked in for the following day, I explained that I get overwhelmed quite easily and that it's asking alot for me to do that but said OK anyways. The doctor explained to the Receptionist, who seemed more dismissive than the doc who was saying that "I would get a call back when there is another availability " and when I asked for the average wait time, she said idk, could take up to 3-4 weeks and I said I already waited that long, and explained what the lady on the phone said. She said that she was mistaken and gave me the wrong information and I explained I can't wait in-between 3-4 weeks for each issue.... and the fact one appt is gonna make me wait almost 8 weeks total... I was basically verbally shrugged at. I'm being told by family to switch as I'm also waiting for a diagnosis and don't want to have to start fron the beginning at another practice but if this keeps up and makes my life harder than it already is, I'm gonna have to take that risk. I'm getting to the point where this is starting to affect me mentally and assume nobody really cares as I'm still dealing with a c section scar issue since 2018 and it's still not healing properly! How do I politely say that is is so unacceptable and risky to fragile lives. I guess it's OK to be passively dismissive and rude to scared patients, but we all have to be paranoid and careful who we take our frustrations to with all those one sided signs plastered everywhere in favor of just staff members treatment. Should be a 2 way street.
