We brought a group of about 14 to The Cannery Restaurant and had a fantastic experience. The food was delicious, the drinks were great, and the menu is wonderfully wide-ranging — truly something for everyone at the table. The atmosphere was fun and welcoming, and a huge shout-out to April, our server, who went above and beyond to take such great care of a big group. Everything ran smoothly and with a smile. An excellent spot for group dining — we’ll definitely be back!

If you’re not going to the Cannery Restaurant in Kingston, you’re missing out! From the ample free parking, cleanliness, service, food and atmosphere, it was stellar! We started with their happy hour 4-5 Monday to Friday and our Waitress April was absolutely fantastic…April was personal yet professional, and very attentive from Happy Hour through our entire meal. The food was delicious, full bar menu with a great selection of both food and drinks! A Must Try…It will be one of our go to places moving forward!! Thank you Judy for suggesting the Cannery and April for the very best service! Hats off to the Chef. FYI-my cost will appear high because hubby and I indulged in beverages and appetizers and were there from 4-6:30 😊

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ On January 10th, 2026, I attended The Cannery for a birthday dinner with my family, and the experience was exceptional from start to finish. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed by a warm, friendly atmosphere and genuinely attentive staff. The attention to detail was impeccable. It’s honestly hard to decide what stood out more — the food or the service. Everything was outstanding. A special shout-out to the chefs for such beautifully prepared dishes, and a special heartfelt thank you to April for going above and beyond to make my birthday truly extraordinary. Highly recommend the calamari. The fish & chips were cooked to crispy, golden perfection with a generous, delicate filet. The cheesecake was light, fluffy, and impressively portioned. Whether you’re planning a birthday dinner, family gathering, or business lunch, The Cannery offers something for everyone. An extremely pleasant experience, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this inviting and gorgeous establishment.

Service was attentive, as there were very few diners; this contributed to a quiet atmosphere. However, the food was mediocre at best; dishes tasted pre-made and simply reheated. When the seafood chowder arrived with saltine packets, I knew the kind of experience I was in for. This may be fine for the 3-star Homestay side, but I have come to expect better from a 4-star DoubleTree. Drinks were prohibitively expensive ($35 for two), the digestif tasted "off." Would not return for dinner, however, breakfast at the end of my stay was perfectly reasonable in terms of freshness, portion, and price. Service was decent, could have been better if more than one waitstaff was working the floor; the poor woman was clearly over-worked.
