Thomas RixonI was shocked to hear some people say negative things about this pub. I visited for the second time recently and had an absolutely brilliant time. It's a bit of an alternative/rock scene pub, which is right up my street, and the staff and regular patrons were welcoming, friendly, and lively. There is a huge selection of beers, including many local ales from small breweries, which is great to see. It's very well priced too. I have heard good things about the live music from others too.

JulesReview update . My initial rage at not being served has diminished ...... but it was wrong. Of course the cobblestones is not 1 star .. it is 4-5 stars . Stars thus returned. Some bars do it re who is next in the mass of faces at the bar ! and if not known ask ..... Whatever it is a good bar for sure and I'll get used to being invisible again at bars .
