Very sad. My show quality Pekingese be ame pet quality. It has been cut too short, legs like chicken, feet looks like poodle. I wish they contact me if they don't know how to trim Pekingese. 3 picture today, last picture was before trim.😭 Owner Donna called me to fix once her fur grow - it Will probably takes 4-8 months. Donna also offer me to she will be triming her. Thank you

The Dog House Pet Salon is hands down the best place for grooming, daycare, and boarding! My dog Smiles has a long history with the team—he was rescued by Donna, the owner, after being dumped in a parking lot, and thanks to her, he found his way into my pack. I bring all my dogs here…from my 18 year old, 12lb anxious mixed breed to my 3 year old, 110lb Rottie/Shepherd mix…and, now, my newly adopted Smiles! They are always impeccably groomed and extremely well cared for. Whether it’s Melissa and the daycare team or the incredible groomers, I know Smiles is in the best hands. When I recently had to travel for work, boarding him here gave me complete peace of mind—I knew he was safe, loved, and happy. Every time I pick him up, he looks and smells amazing, but more importantly, he’s content and happy, as he’s been treated like family. The Dog House team is responsible, caring, and truly passionate about every pet they care for. If you need grooming, daycare, or boarding, this is the place to go! I came to the Dog House through Donna's Love Pet Rescue or Donna who owns the business and is the head groomer. I was lucky enough to adopt a pure bred Great Pyrenees named Luna through Donna's rescue and then fortunate to have Donna let me board my Pry while I was fostering her and take her to doggy day care as a DLPR foster. Donna's grooming, her staff and her facility are top notch. Now that I own Luna, my Pry, when I take her to the Dog House, she doesn't like it at my home anymore. Not enough action I guess. 🤣 If you are looking for phenomenal grooming, boarding, or to foster a rescue dog through Donna's rescue, she has plenty at the Dog House that need a temporary home until they find their forever home. And Donna provides all their needs (food, bed, leash, and boarding if you go out of town). I adore this group of people! Wanted to update my initial review with comments about their boarding options at the location on Richmond. They have affordable prices and my pets don't want to come home. 🤦‍♀️They have such a good time at the free daycare that is provided during the boarding process which I've only had one other facility that I use provide. Also, I and my dogs adore the front staff Maddie and Melissa. Melissa in particular is so attentive, calm and kind. You can see why she works with animals. Love, love, love this place. ❤️❤️❤️
