Customer experiences
Had a great Sunday night dinner at the Duke of Wellington with my family! We all got the burger special, which I highly recommend. Both the burger and fries tasted great! There was a live music show going on which was great, and the volume wasn't so high, we could still have a conversation too. Unfortunately they did not have half their beers available when I was there which was disappointing. I do hope to visit again sometime soon and maybe get to try their lager!
This is the first time in my life that I write a review. But I have never encountered such bad service. I work in Uber delivery. When I came to this establishment to pick up an order for three customers, the waiter said that I had to wait 5 minutes. I waited more than 15 minutes, another delivery worker was waiting with me. When I asked the girl who also works there as a waiter, how long I had to wait, she said, I don't care how long you wait. Cancel the order. Me and the other guy canceled the delivery. That is, she doesn't care about other people's work, and she doesn't care that people who were waiting for their food will wait much longer. When I told her about it, she said that she doesn't care. This happened on January 18, 2026 (to understand who was on shift) I think that an establishment where such people work is not worth paying attention to
Here is an interesting twist to to the Duke of Wellington. I was there yesterday, for lunch, and looking forward to a nice meal. As always, the food was great but the twist is that I was requested to order a beverage of some kind, not just water. I told my server that I was following my doctors orders that I couldn’t have sugared drinks, caffeine, or alcohol. At present I am having chemotherapy treatments for cancer and have to stay away from the above beverages. Having to order a drink and just place it on the empty table, beside me, and really not care about my situation, I find very cold and very profit oriented. I can, for certain, say that I will not return and I will share my story with many. Great food but lousy business attitude. Robert
A place that makes you want to come back. Great service from the staff. The live band made the evening even better. The food better than the standard Pub fare. All in all a wonderful time even had the band and other patrons sing to wish a happy birthday for a client.
The Duke of Wellington is a pub.
