tl;dr: quick beer service, cocktails, and food need timing work. Hit this place for late-night happy hour and found a mixed bag with service timing. The beer pours were reliably quick, and the bartenders were pleasant enough. Cocktails came out at a leisurely pace, but the real wait came with the food—took so long I nearly forgot I'd ordered anything. While it works fine for grabbing a draft beer, you might want to eat before you arrive if you're running on empty. I can tell they're trying, but the kitchen timing needs some serious attention.

Ordered 2 drinks: old fashioned and a lemon drop. The old fashioned was way too sweet and the lemon drop was essentially just lemon juice with no discernible alcohol. Bar tender was more interested in the basketball game than anything else. Very disappointing.

Fireside Lounge in Alameda is pretty cool. DJ heats up Fridays, and while they might not have every drink under the sun, the vibe's solid. Dance floor’s always lit, plus open mic and art stuff keep it interesting. Not just a bar but a real gem in Alameda. Solid 4 stars from me!

I had fun here, dancing to music from different genres and feeling welcomed by a diverse crowd of all adult age groups. The fireplace was a nice touch for the chilly night air.
