Had a delightful catch with friends close to the back garden, we shared a large table and had a lively fun two hours together. Very friendly accommodating staff and the atmosphere was relaxed. A lovely first time visit. We all had cheesy chips but oh my wordy the chips were proper chips, nice thick cuts and tasty with the added dips. Great catch up in the delightful old school pub. The area is old and linked to the past histories and especially the old St Michael's and all Angels Church which goes back to before the 800 period. Dragons in the wooden rafters so any Pilgrims looking for a delightful place to visit. The church is a lovely place to start off with. The area is surrounded by ancient woodlands and more, so go seek and enjoy. Somerton was the Old Capital of England and it oozes quality that you will see on your visit to this lovely area. Free parking down by the shops which is very accommodating.

We first had a meal almost a year ago at this pub, it was a lovely meal then and still was today. The food was delicious, very good quality at a reasonable price. Staff were friendly and providing a good service....Good food, nice atmosphere in a lovely town. Would highly recommend and look forward to our next visit.

I had booked a table for 5:30 PM on a Sunday night, and we were literally the only two people in the entire restaurant other than the waitstaff. Yet, we were never rushed to leave. That was greatly appreciated. The portions are large, so go for the smaller one if you have the choice. Dinner was obviously fresh made and quite good. Way too much for me to eat it all, even though I picked the small option.

The food was okay, but it certainly wasn't good enough for me to clean my plate. Nice that the meat is sourced locally. The staff were faultless, no waiting around and very friendly. The prices were super reasonable, so I'd consider going again and trying their burgers as they looked really good.
