This was truly an amazing experience and one we will never forget. The team at The Inn set an unbeatable standard. Special recognition to Blythe with Guest Services and Chef Matt.|Our room was in the North Tower, top floor, which allowed us a great view of the main grounds and Bay Fortune. |Now a bit about the food! The attached pictures are of some of the breakfast offerings and the picnic basket.|We enjoyed the Fireworks Feast two nights in a row. What an experience, fresh and local foods prepared to perfection. The oyster hour, which is the first course of the feast features small bites and...oysters! Sweet, delicious oysters.|Our only disappointment was we weren't able to meet Chef Michael Smith, maybe next time...
I had an incredible dinner experience at The Inn at Bay Fortune yesterday! From start to finish, everything was exceptional. Our server Scott was absolutely the best — attentive, friendly, and made the evening feel extra special. The chefs were true professionals, and I really appreciated how Chef Daniel took the time to explain each dish, making the whole experience more personal and memorable. The food itself was outstanding — every plate was beautifully prepared, bursting with flavor, and the desserts were simply awesome. This was more than just dinner, it was an unforgettable dining experience. Highly recommend The Inn at Bay Fortune if you’re visiting PEI!
The accommodation and the Fireside Feast - expensive but well worth the price.||First - the accommodation - very well appointed and, most importantly, clean. Our room had an electric fireplace, as did the other two rooms we had booked. A nice touch - especially if you were there in the late summer/fall season. The only 'negative' would be the shower. A great shower but it requires stepping into a bathtub. Difficult for elderly people or those with a mobility issue to get in/out of. As I recall, there is no grab bar.||Now for the food! The Fireside Feast, in my opinion, is the reason for going to this Inn. The meal service starts off with a visit to the farm and a talk from the 'farmer' and Chef Michael. An explanation of their focus on 'farm to fork' and locally grown produce, meats and seafood. Next you experience an outdoor snacking tour through a number of kiosks featuring oysters, and a few other food items. One kiosk even offered duck hearts. Surprisingly, very tasty. There were a couple of kiosks featuring alcoholic/non-alcoholic drinks as well. Again, very well done and serviced by extremely well trained and pleasant staff. Dinner - the 'piece de resistance'. Our experience was for 5 courses coupled with a wine pairing. So happy we chose to do it that way as the wines were expertly chosen to match the course. A heads up, seating is at long tables. You likely will be seated next to someone you have never met before. A nice experience for us seated by our friends on one side and a couple from Ontario, Skip and Patricia. If you are seated in the right location you will be able to watch the show as Chef Michael and his team prepare your feast. Dinner was 10/10. Breakfast the next morning was also enjoyable but where I experienced my only negative experience. My definition of very soft poached eggs did not match that of the cook. Also my wife's easy over eggs were hard over. However, after the Feast, breakfast was not uppermost in our minds OR bellys.||One last thing - the hospitality! Whoever is doing the recruiting and training of staff is doing an excellent job.
Absolutely amazing time staying at the Inn with my fiancée. I reached out to reception prior to arriving, to let them know that i would be proposing and asked if they had any recommendations. The staff went above and beyond to make the day extra special for us, including an arrangement in our room and seating at the Chef's table - which we did not expect! The farm and inn were beautifully maintained and clearly a lot of thought went into the design. The service is unmatched - every staff member is happy to be there and expresses passion in their work. Last but not least - the food was exceptional. It wasn't just a stay at an inn and a nice dinner, it was an entire experience that we will never forget. We will be back again.
The Inn at Bay Fortune - Five Star Luxury Inn is a inn.
