Such a cool bookstore! There is so much to see that you definitely need a few days to fully appreciate it. I just spent a whole 30 minutes admiring the place-it's absolutely beautiful. You have an incredible store here, and I definitely plan on stopping by again. Not to mention, there's a pretty good and reasonably priced coffee shop as well!

A one of a kind magical bookstore. Feeling like I ventured into a book store in Alice in wonderland. A great place to get lost into, browsing new & old books, vinyls, or artworks. Definitely brings out the magic of books! However, because of its uniqueness and charms of this place, its also draw a tons of tourist who didn't care for the books but came to experience the wonderland of books. You can expect to encounter a big crowd.

What a unique bookstore!! Display/decoration is well thought out and organized. I love the 2nd floor, as the area seems to expand. There are also artists in residence in the gallery area. I can go on and on, and I felt like a kid in a candy shop! The staff there seemed very friendly and knowledgeable. I would definitely recommend a visit!

It’s a mandatory place if you like reading. Its unique style creates a magic atmosphere that combines the antique architecture of the building with the different tones and shapes of the books. I felt immersed in a story that one of the books there describes in its pages

Hiya, this is such a nice bookstore, they most definitely have a lot to keep you busy for hours. We kinda had a reservation nearby for my birthday gurl so we only visited for maybe an hour. This was enough to look around and enjoy some of the interesting and cute decorations. They carry movies, record vinyls, different merch and pictures of art, areas that look like a volt and cute decorated areas with book arcs. Most definitely a place to chill for hours and time passes by so fast!

I loved this bookstore. It’s partly a museum, an antique store and a bookstore, with plenty of alternatives for every taste, bargain options, new releases and hidden treasures all around. It’s a must if you’re a fan of literature like me. Enjoy it!

Overall book shopping experience - 5⭐! Recently I was talking to someone who has lived in LA a long time, is a big reader, but had never heard of The Last Bookstore. I was excited to be able to tell them about how amazing and unique they are. I have known about The Last Bookstore for decades. My brother, a voracious reader, found it shortly after he moved to LA twenty years ago and made sure to tell me all about it. In an era of e-commerce and corporate stores, it is refreshing to know indie shops can still thrive and even become a destination on their own. I try to visit this store and some of my other favorite LA bookstores every other month. I feel it is quite important to add some of my income back into the local economy and the best way to do this is to support small, indie businesses. I helped my niece celebrate her birthday recently. I went straight to The Last Bookstore with an idea in mind but nothing specific. I was able to find the perfect gift for her. What I was looking for is not something that would be typically stocked at a chain bookstore and I wasn't even sure I would find something here, but when I spotted the book, I knew I had found the perfect gift. The store is located in the always changing and evolving downtown area of LA. They have a large, expansive two floor store with new and used books as well as gifts, artist booths, and a small cafe. The staff is always friendly and on my recent visit helped me to quickly locate the section I needed. Often I like to explore but I was in a bit of a hurry, so the assist was greatly appreciated. One of my favorite elements of The Last Bookstore is they have multiple, creative sculptures and art installations throughout the shop including the often photographed bookshelf tunnel. All in all, just a terrific place. I'd even venture to say that The Last Bookstore is in my top ten for any kind of shop/store in LA. I could spend hours there! Parking in DTLA can be an adventure and would require an essay to explain. All I can say is I don't think The Last Bookstore has their own parking. Wherever you park, pay attention to the signs.
