If I could give zero, I would. Matt Chandler was the probate attorney for my grandmothers estate and it was one of the worst expereinces I've ever had and this law office was about 50% of the reason. Matt is quite possibly the worst communicator I've ever dealt with in this field and takes at least 5-7 days to reply. Even then, he barely discusses anything with you because, "as a beneficiary, he doesn't work for me". Once I got an attorney, communication was really sporadic, and he provided little guidance to the administrator or any of the beneficiaries. He withheld documents that beneficiaries were entitled to see until I HAD to take him and estate to court to get them, and even then, he was weeks late on that. He also let the administrator, who was extremely incompetent, manage the estate, leading to multiple clerical and accounting errors. He also said multiple conflicting things to the property manager, administrator, my attorney, the beneficiaries, etc. about the state of the properties and even though he said he was working on getting keys so we could look at them, he never did and finally said they couldn't find them. A week later though, had the audacity to tell me I had every chance to review and inspect the estate the entire time. He also would take vacation for weeks or be out and not let anyone know so we are all left waiting until he decides to reappear. My uncle and I felt very ignored, disrespected, and taken advantage of due to this law office and their practices. If you prefer to trust the attorney you work with, go somewhere else because I would recommend anyone but them.

WARNING: Be extremely careful and read this comment before meeting with anyone from Neal & Davis for first time counseling. I met with Gregg Neal a week ago about some real estate issues, and the experience I had was one I deeply regret. When I met with Gregg Neal, he didn't seem too interested in my case and his advice was stuff I could have probably found online. The only original advise he gave was a far fetch plan that was unheard of by other real estate lawyers I met with. When I ask what his services would cost if my issue wwere to go to court, his retainer was three times as much anyone else in the Jefferson county/Shelbyville area. Then at the very end, he ask me for my address to bill me for his time ($200 for 45 minutes). On the phone or even at the beginning of our meeting he never once said I was going to be charged. Letting me believe that this was a free first time consuling witch every other lawyer I met with did. I didn't use Gregg Neal any more after this first meeting, I don't know how well me is in court, but from my experience I would definitely first look into other options.
