We booked a reservation for four people at this location for a Friday night for a friend’s birthday and the staff exceeded our expectations. They showed a high level of commitment and attentiveness to ensure a seamless surprise experience. Shay was amazing with her hospitality and creativity. She organized a birthday card and balloons at the table and it was such a nice touch! A dessert was also provided for the birthday girl on the house. We were also able to take a cake of our choice and drop it off earlier and they were extremely accommodating. The food was also great and served hot. The vegetarian and vegan options were delicious! The only small difficulty was the loud music and it was hard to communicate amongst our group even though we were sitting fairly close. But it was a Friday night so it was understandable. Overall we would recommend this restaurant for special occasions.

I must say, the food was absolutely amazing! Every dish we tried was exquisite. The prices were a little on the higher side, but overall worth it. The restaurant was quite busy, yet the atmosphere still felt cozy and comfortable. I ordered the Korean beef dish, which was delicious. My friend had the chicken sandwich with truffle fries and really enjoyed it. We also shared a cheese pizza, which was a great addition to the meal. For dessert, we finished with a classic crème brûlée — the perfect sweet ending.

My niece was visiting from NY home for the Christmas. I decided to have dinner here with her. We ordered a bottle of prosecco, lyche tini, dozen oysters, shrimp cocktail and salt and pepper wings. We had to wait to get htsauce fo our oysters and it was not included in our platter. The wings looks dry and very skinny like it was sitting in a warmer for a long time. Disappointed in their wings offering. Perhaps they should consider buying a bigger cut wings. For our mains we had the tofu plate, tortellini with shrimp, and 3 chicken Alfredo’s. With the pasta we were not asked if we would like Parmesan cheese, red pepper flakes, cracked black pepper. We patiently waited to ask for Parm and pepper flakes. The tortellini dish was bland, the “cocktail” size shrimp was very tiny. Pepper sauce could not sauce that dish. My niece gets to the end of her dish and she finds a hair. 🤮 I suggest making reservations as this restaurant prefers to hold empty tables to wait for reservations to arrive. Their entire solarium is was empty. When we arrived the restaurant had a few tables sat in the dining room but we were told it will be 15 mins for a table. I look at the dinning room and it was 80% EMPTY. If you personally enjoy wasting your time waiting for an empty table to be available in a 3/4 empty restaurant, you’ll enjoy wasting your valuable time here. Clearly they didn’t want our money or valued us as customers. I personally will not bother coming back to this restaurant for their mid level food quality and below mid customer service. Our bill ended up being $365, for mid quality food and service. And even that revenue the tried to kick out. For me, they have lost any further patronage to this restaurant. The highlight was just being able to catch up with my niece.

I have been in two more different locations and the conclusion is that Earls Kitchen + Bar, is one of my favourite places around the GTA. Is a bit expensive but worth it. Isabella our waitress was so nice and professional. Everything was nice and delicious. I hope I can come back soon.

The Moose and Firkin is a pub.
