Customer experiences
My experience at the movement exceeded all my expectations. Nick was an excellent physio therapist who got me to a better point then I was pre injury. His knowledge goes beyond just physio therapy allowing for a personalized plan that fit my goals and lifestyle. I would highly recommend the movement to anyone looking to rehab any type of injury. I am happy to be back lifting weights and playing golf again.
I recently had the pleasure of working with Nick Dozzi at The Movement Physio & Performance, and I cannot recommend them enough! From the very first appointment, I was impressed with their professionalism, knowledge, and dedication to helping me recover. I could not imagine myself getting back to the sports I love. I believed it was no possible for me to recover to the point I could compete in sports again but Nick was adamant on me achieving this goal. The sessions were always well-structured, with a perfect balance of hands-on treatment and exercises to do at home. What really stood out was how Nick constantly monitored my progress and adjusted the plan accordingly, ensuring I was always moving in the right direction. Since committing to your rehab plan, I can now return to a competitive level and play the sports I love. What Nick provided me to that lead to my success: 1. Committing to working on the basics early on to build the foundation for the mid stages of ACL rehab. 2. Staying consistent through the entire process, especially through the middle where it can get monotonous and the light at the end of the tunnel is small. 3. Coming to the understanding that you need to keep working on the strength around that knee to improve joint tolerance and keep playing sports in the future. Thanks to Nick Dozzi's expertise, I feel so much better—pain has significantly reduced, and my mobility has improved. The improvement I've seen is nothing short of amazing. I truly appreciate his compassionate and patient approach. It's clear he genuinely cares about his patients' well-being. If you're looking for a physiotherapist who not only has the skills but also takes the time to make you feel heard and supported, I highly recommend Nick Dozzi. Thank you again for all your help!
After taking up skiing again, my knees started hurting. They even hurt after playing volleyball, a sport I have played since high school. I never experienced knee pain before, I'm 55 years old now. I went to a traditional physiotherapist, who moved the legs around, gave me some stretches to do, and up sold me on laser treatment. When I still had pain after a couple months, it was suggested to do another round of laser treatment. No thanks. A friend suggested The Movement in Brantford. Nick had me in for a consultation, checked the knee, ankle and hips, watched me do some movements, and figured out my hips and ankles were tight, not very flexible, and the pain was coming out in my knees. Nick signed me up for six sessions, over 5 months, in which he would work with me in their gym. He would set me up to do exercises, that helped me improve me. There was an app, TrueCoach, in which he would upload personalized exercises. It was three times a week at home, spanning the 5 months, different exercises here and there as I progressed. I am done with my sessions, but Nick has uploaded newer exercises to see me into the future as I continue to progress. I am happy to say that volleyball has started up and a few weeks in, and no knee pain. I can tell for the next few days I was physically active, but no pain walking stairs, getting in and out of the vehicle, or doing my daily living. I highly recommend The Movement and their approach to wellness. They are all friendly, helpful and supportive to get me back being physically active pain free. Give them a shout, what do you have to lose but the pain.
Just a quick thank you to Nick @ The Movement Physio. My shoulder had become so restricted in movement that it was a challenge just to put on a shirt or jacket without suffering some level of discomfort . This of course severely impacted me in many of the movements required to do upper body exercises. Simple things like push ups became almost unbearable. Nick helped me to adapt my exercises to those that increased flexibility and expanded my range of movement until we were comfortable with adding more resistance. This of course required patience on my part, and Nick was very helpful in assisting in me understand how the " rehab " aspect of what we were doing was a process, not a quick fix BandAid solution. I completed the sessions and have maintained a habit of continuing with many of the rehab exercises in an effort to avoid further injuries. I am SLOWLY working to regain the strength and movement that was lost and am very pleased with the progress. Thanks again Nick Your understanding of the injury and explanation of the path to recovery was clear and it became obvious to me that you cared about my success. Regards Greg Allan
