Came away for the weekend. We stayed in room 3. Really nice place. Mattress could be better but generally a good room. The building has real character which is great as long as you aren't expecting it to be all flash and modern. ||Staff were great and very hard working. Leon was so helpful and kind, as were the breakfast staff. ||Breakfast is good, great choice. ||We went down the road for dinner to the mitre. Great food also and great price.||I would have given 5 stars if we had a better mattress.

I booked George & Pilgrim’s for Sunday lunch for my family (12 people) to celebrate my mum’s birthday. I booked ahead and was able to preorder meals ahead of the visit and the staff were very caring re our needs (allergies etc). On the day, we had a lovely table by the window. The vibe is relaxed and friendly. The building is old and has so much history so it’s a great experience to sit in. Location is brilliant as it’s in the centre of Glastonbury. Accessible for prams and wheelchairs. Food came out quickly and was well presented and tasty. Staff were very attentive. We had a great experience, thank you. We didn’t stay in the rooms.

Wonderful old hotel in the middle of Glastonbury. Although a very old building the rooms are warm and comfortable, quiet too so a good nights sleep guaranteed. Restraint is very good with an excellent choice at fair prices.|The highlight of our stay was breakfast super food and the waitress is so efficient and very friendly, it made our stay so special. We will be back to sample this friendly hotel and breakfast waitress.

Food very disappointing. Menu on website looked promising but offer very limited once we were seated. No steak, only one veggie option & no prawn starter. Service casual at best, cutlery removed abruptly & ice slammed down on table while the waiting staff were deep in conversation. Food is basic pub grub. Our wine was 8%, not indicated on menu or reflected in price. Eatery is tatty. Very disappointed.
