I ordered the red and white refreshing and perfectly balanced Sangria. We also ordered cheese sticks as a quick snack while watching the Jays game. I highly recommend coming here to chill with friends and watch the game.

An awesome spot to unwind and enjoy some great local brews and grub! A varied beer and drink menu ensure all tastes are covered. A small but eclectic menu has a nice variety of choices sure to please most palates. Summer patio is definitely a bonus. Our server, Tony was phenomenal. His attention to detail and his knowledge were second to none. He made you feel welcomed and made sure you were well informed about your choices. Able to accommodate large groups as easily as a Tête à tête… this spot is clean and inviting.

I don't live in town, but I try my best to return here every time I visit Ottawa and am relatively close to the neighborhood. This is a down-to-earth and unassuming bar with a decent selection of taps from both local craft breweries as well as a few others. There are plenty of televisions for watching various sports games and when it's not a "hot night" for sports (ie, when the volume on the "big game" is turned up) the music is always a fantastic selection with a really good nod to "classic rock." (And it's never so loud that it obscures good conversation. The staff here are fantastic: friendly and personable. And the food selections are solid and well prepared. (I've regularly enjoyed - and even over-enjoyed the all-you-can-eat wing nights, as well as the rotating drink specials). Looking forward to my next visit to Ottawa and my next visit to The Senate Tavern on Wellington!

Taste of Wellington event on Saturday. Beautiful day..lots of crowds...and the Senate has a patio. Sat down and waited and waited. Ordered food and waited and waited. Wanted to pay up and waited and waited. Why? Because the owner in all his wisdom had 1 girl on for the whole place. I saw business walk out in droves..one group of 6 walked in and 10 minutes later walk out. The employee churn must be high in this place. I must say the server did a fabulous job considering the pressure she was under. Always smiling. You see, Mr owner...for everyone who endured your establishment this day will probably never come back. Why don't you care...about your staff and about your customers? Shame on you.
