If there were six stars, I would give six plus! My relator recommended Derek, and I can see why. I would highly recommend him; he is incredibly knowledgeable and trustworthy. He walked me through the entire inspection and was happy to answer all my questions. He did an in-depth inspection and even came back because of well issues. He provided me with important maintenance tips and followed up promptly. Derek goes above and beyond. He is down-to-earth and a pleasure to work with.

If I could leave zero stars, I would. In 2017 after buying our first very modest home, Derek replaced the existing septic system. Everything that could be wrong with the new system, was. It completely failed. The pipes were exposed, the toilet connections on backwards. Septic was leaking into the basement as well as the ground. The rest of the homes grey water was not routed into the septic but rather was still going out into the ditch beside the house. The yard was not smoothed and couldn’t be tilled because the pipes were too high and exposed. We had little grass and many large rocks throughout the property. What little grass we had needed to be trimmed using a whipper snipper because it was too rough to mow. We sued in small claims court and won the maximum judgement. Derek has made zero attempts to pay anything back. He now owes us well over 30,000. The debt we incurred by having to replace his work out of pocket was detrimental to us as young new home owners. We had to leave our house for a month in the winter with our baby because we had no toilet. Upon removing the new tanks Derek installed, a baseball sized hole was found in the bottom of one. They did not install any tank risers and used plastic tanks. If Derek would agree to a payment plan we would be open to this but feel he is unwilling to accept the mistakes that he has made even though we have proven them in court. It scares me to think of other new home owners being recommended to Derek by their realtors and the potential they may suffer the way we did. We will attach photos of our judgement and some of a report we had done on the work.
