The Station House

Good comfortable Holiday Inn, sits alongside the A40 with 6 lanes of traffic - you'd never know tho, the sound proofing is excellent. We were only staying one night but I would definitely stay again if in the area and can thoroughly recommend it. Good check-in experience, lovely room allocated. Grabbed a pizza in the restaurant before heading out for the evening. The pizza was the best we'd ever had anywhere, delicious. Returned to the hotel about 11pm, pleased to find the bar was open until 1am, so we were able to partake in a couple of nightcaps! Good nights sleep, comfy beds. Breakfast was a little manic but a table was found for us quite quickly. Plenty of choice and the hot food was hot! Thank you for a pleasant stay. Unfortunately I don't have the names of any staff we encountered but all were friendly and professional. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

I really enjoyed my stay here. The staff were all helpful, especially Tunde. The room was spacious and the serve-yourself cooked breakfast was good too. I'd definitely come back if I need a hotel in the West Acton area.

Our family of four, including two small children, stayed at this hotel in London during Halloween. We were looking forward to a pleasant vacation, but unfortunately, our experience was overshadowed by serious concerns about safety and service quality.|| On the third day of our stay, we returned to our room to find the safe, which we had locked with our individual code, emptied of its contents. The missing items included passports, driver’s licenses, credit cards, wallets, and home keys. This left us feeling extremely vulnerable and distressed, especially being abroad with young children.|| We immediately reported the incident to the reception desk. Due to the nature of the situation, we had no choice but to invalidate our passports, driver’s licenses, and credit cards for security reasons and contact our embassy for assistance. The process of obtaining temporary documents to ensure we could return home safely was both time-consuming and costly. Additionally, we had to arrange for enhanced security measures for our apartment back home, as our home keys were among the missing items.||The emotional toll of this incident cannot be overstated. We spent a sleepless night worrying about our safety, our ability to return home, and the potential misuse of our personal information and documents. The following day, a staff member returned the missing items in a plastic bag, explaining it all happened “by mistake.” While we were relieved to recover our belongings, we remained deeply unsettled by the breach of trust and privacy.|| The hotel explained the incident was a “temporary misplacement” and offered an apology.|| Initially, the hotel offered compensation equal to half the cost of our stay and a full reimbursement of the additional expenses incurred. However, when we submitted the receipts for these costs, the hotel revised its offer to cover 70% of our stay and refused to reimburse the expenses for issuing new documents, replacing keys, or securing our home. The final compensation offered in the amount of approximately 500 euros fell significantly short of addressing the financial burden and emotional stress we endured.|| While the hotel did apologize, the resolution offered did not sufficiently address the severity of the incident. We believe travelers should feel safe and supported, particularly when staying in a hotel. Unfortunately, this experience has left us hesitant to recommend this hotel to others.
