I visited the University of Kansas Hospital Emergency Room on a Sunday morning due to abdominal pain caused by a strangulated hernia. After a quick triage, I was seen immediately. The staff was incredibly kind and responded to my condition with urgency and professionalism. I underwent a CT scan and was in surgery within a couple of hours. Throughout my stay, I was thoroughly impressed by the quality of care provided by both the Emergency Department and the main hospital staff. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the University of Kansas Hospital ER. They have truly earned my trust.

Long story short. During the ride to ER...my mother was throwing up and before arriving she had an accident on the passenger seat. She's embarrassed and I said it's OK mom your not well. Jumping forward she's in wheelchair the staff is aware of her accident. I go home to fetch her clean clothes. An hour passes and she's still sitting on her own poop!! They didn't even offered a hospital gown or anything to make her feel comfortable!?!. I lost it. An hour! If it was your mother...Would you be OK with it?.

If you are having heart pain and head pressure/pain better make sure you get transported here via ambulance otherwise you are going to die waiting in this waiting room. 4 1/2 hours with this type of scary pain and im still not in a room.

Sat in the Emergency Room for 5 hours and didn’t see one single nurse provide a helpful service to someone. I left without getting care and was absolutely stunned at how bad every nurse there was. Not one of them could answer simple questions or be helpful in any way.
