We stopped here while traveling I80 east with 2 adults and 2 dogs. Kathy at the front desk was terrific. We got a first floor room so easy access for our dogs. Room was very clean. AC was quiet and worked well. Grassy area behind hotel to walk dogs. Fast food and gas stations right in same plaza. Worked out great for us!

We booked day of. Had looked at places around DesMoines but ridiculously expensive for a Thursday. Booked through Expedia, no issues. Called ahead to let them know we'd be arriving late, she said no problem. Pictures and reviews online gave us hope this Motel 6 would not be like the old one in our town. It wad clean & recently remodeled. Staff really friendly (and it was really late and then really early - same staff!). Room had everything we needed for sleep & shower. Air was on & ran well. Large fridge. Great water pressure. Comfortable bed. Would stay there again & avoid Des Moines. Very close to McDonald's & gas to get us back on the road. **There were guests that let their doors slam so that was noisy, but not hotels fault. No other noise from guests.

Overall 4 out of 5 due to ac unit not being enough to ever get the temperature down aside from at night when there was no more sun. House keepers took pretty good care of us except the head of the house keepers promised blankets that she claimed were being washed but it was 11:00am so I didn’t mind I said we weren’t going to bed right now anyways we literally pretty much just woke up. She agreed and by 10:00pm I had to call lobby because her unprofessionalism in not keeping her promise. I called the front desk her kindness, compassion, and acknowledgement made up for the “unprofessional head of housekeepers” she referred to herself as. She made the comment “oh all my house keepers are here by 9:00am” I work three jobs… blah blah blah 😑 lady I don’t care just do your job. Wash the bedding and bring it back if that’s what you said you’d do. Not get off work and let it not be your problem right? It’s not your family sleeping without blankets right… inconsiderate. Unprofessional. Give the job to Molly!!!!! She was the sweetest, the kindest, most friendly, most professional for a house keeping job. If she has children I bet she’s a great loving mother🥰 Alex was also really kind friendly and helpful he mentioned he was a new hire, I thought he was awesome 👏 😎 Thanks kid, you are going to do well in this world. We need hard working men like you 👍 as a mother myself, I bet you’re parents are proud of you😊

We have been here for an extended stay and have been very pleased. Mandy has been great and goes out of her way to make sure we have what we need. Very personable and professional. All the staff has been better than other places I've stayed over the years. Very good Motel 6. Friendly, clean, and accommodating.
