We had such an amazing experience at Thermea ! From the moment we walked in, everything felt so calm and relaxing. The place is spotless — super clean and beautifully maintained — which immediately put me at ease. The treatments were incredibly soothing, and the whole atmosphere made me feel like I was on a little vacation away from the city. On top of that, the food was surprisingly good, which made the day even more enjoyable. Overall, it was such a refreshing and relaxing experience. I would definitely come back again and highly recommend it to anyone looking to truly unwind.

My husband and I visited for our anniversary, and the venue itself is absolutely beautiful — clearly well designed and thoughtfully put together. The staff, for the most part, were kind, welcoming, and professional. We had lunch in the lounge, and the food was quite tasty and reasonably priced for the quality and presentation. However, a few things took away from the overall experience. For the amount of money spent on the visit (including massages, village access, and the underground salt pool for two), it was disappointing to see staff more focused on enforcing small rules like water bottles by the pools, rather than addressing loud groups and guests using their phones in quiet zones. There are signs posted throughout the property, but these guidelines weren’t consistently enforced. I completely understand that people come to the spa for many different reasons — anniversaries, birthdays, bachelorettes, or just a relaxing day — and I truly don’t want to be the person who complains about others having fun. That said, it would be nice if there was a bit more mindfulness toward maintaining a peaceful atmosphere for everyone. At times, it felt less like a relaxing spa retreat and more like a social media hotspot. Simple courtesies, like guests removing their shoes in appropriate areas instead of directly in front of the pools, would also make a big difference. Overall, it’s a stunning place with a lot of potential — I just wish the sense of tranquility matched the beauty of the setting.

We visited Thermea Spa Village Whitby as a group of three couples and overall had a pleasant and relaxing experience. The outdoor layout, pools, and spa areas are beautifully designed, offering a serene and peaceful environment. The indoor facilities, including saunas and rest areas, are also well thought out and contribute to the calming atmosphere. Cleanliness is clearly a priority, everything from the showers to the lockers was spotless. Most staff members we encountered were friendly, helpful, and welcoming, which added positively to the experience. That said, there are a few areas that could use improvement. The food options at the restaurants were limited, and unfortunately, the taste was nothing special. For a high-end spa, we expected a more impressive and varied menu. The newly opened poolside bar is a welcome addition, but it’s quite small and lacks thoughtful design. The selection of drinks is also limited, making it feel like a missed opportunity for a vibrant, enjoyable space. One of the more puzzling aspects was the arrival time restriction. While there’s no time limit on how long you can stay, the emphasis on strict arrival timing felt unnecessary and added stress to what’s supposed to be a relaxing day. Overall, it's a great spot, but there’s definitely room to enhance the experience further.

I’ve been here twice and loved it both times. The spa is really well maintained and everything is incredibly beautiful. It really makes you feel like you are outside of Ontario. The booking process online was pretty simple and I thought all the amenities were really good - from the showers to the lockers to the change rooms. I especially love the rituals they do in the main sauna room where you can smell the aromatic snowballs. They have a good number of pools, cold plunges, and saunas. The guided meditation is also great. The restaurant food was slightly worse the second time I went, the muscles were a bit under flavoured and I thought the penne pasta was not really tasty at all and was quite bland. The cocktails were also kind of mid. But I guess the experience is more for the spa less for the food but I think the food could either cost a little less or taste a bit more flavourful.

Thermea Spa Village Whitby is a day spa.
