I love the whole concept of this restaurant and I’m glad it’s doing well. 31 locations from what I understand. For us, though It fell short on a few things. I guess we’re spoiled by independent owners who put a lot of love into what they do. And this is my first time there so maybe it I went on a off day. I had ordered a bowl with herb Farro, which tasted very good, the Romanesco green bean salad, which I thought was ok, but maybe a little bit undercooked and tomatoes and cucumber salad was very good. the fresh sauces garlic aïoli, pesto and the Sriracha We’re all very freshly done. For the protein, I had crispy tofu this tofu was very rubbery, It had pretty good flavor, I had to tear it into small pieces to be able to chew on it. The Romesco bean salad, which I thought had pretty good flavor like I said I thought it was a little bit undercooked, and it was a little bit underwhelming for the fact that there was very little put in the bowl so I got a few pieces of green beans a few pieces of broccoli, rabe and one piece of roasted pepper same goes for the cucumber salad very meager portion, even though it tasted good. the herb farro was good, and of course, that was the biggest portion, we ordered a bowl with cashew kale, Caesar crispy, tofu, brown rice, marinated cannellini beans, the KL Caesar did not taste like cashew Caesar at all lacking flavor completely. I don’t know if there was supposed to be dressing on it or not, it tasted like kale and cabbage that’s about it. The marinated cannellini beans were very tasty., the tofu was supposed to be crispy, again this was rubbery for sides, we had the charred carrots, very good flavor, as well as a side of sweet potatoes. They were very good also., for us, the blandness, texture on certain items and portion size are things that I think could be done better I am not sure of what a serving size is supposed to be, so for the small bowls and the side of carrots and sweet potato for nearly $40 I think this is greatly lacking value for the average person. This is my personal opinion. A little side note a few tables were messy with stains from previous meals. This place was currently not very busy.
Dig is amazing. What a perfect place to eat healthy and yummy at university city. The kale salad and mashed potatoes are absolutely delicious!
Herb roasted chicken, kale salad, avocado, mash potatoes in a customized bowl. Added a lemonade and cookie. I couldn't believe how fresh and well made the food was. Highly recommend this place. I can't wait to go back!
