About TEA: Tirupur Exporters’ Association popularly known as TEA was set up in the year 1990 in Tirupur under the leadership of Dr. A. Sakthivel and strived for the development of exports and also Tirupur. TEA has always been very quick in taking up the issues and stand in forefront to get them addressed. Dr. A. Sakthivel was the president of association till 27th September 2016 from the inception of the association. Shri Raja M Shanmugham was president of the association from 2016-2022, for two term, Six years. Shri.K.M.Subramanian was elected as President of the Association and he assumed office on 1st October 2022. As on February 2025, TEA consisting of 1,330 knitwear exporting units as the members.
