When I asked for clarification, I quoted the prior "promise" and asked if they could still fulfill this or not and let them know it would be a dealbreaker if they couldn't. That led to Christopher trying to turn the tables, being unwilling to work with us because things didn't "feel right" and he had a bad "gut feeling" about working with us. Yes, you know, if clients having the expectation that you'll follow through on promises you've made in writing gives you a bad feeling about working with them, that's probably a pretty big red flag for the client. Glad we found someone else to work with who we've had great follow through from!
