AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE!! The staff charged me for an overnight stay regardless of the fact I only rented the room for roughly 7 hours and refused to correct it. The rate online is also either inaccurate or he overcharged us on purpose. Room was dirty and had a weird smell to it. The bathroom wasn’t very clean as some marks on the sink and tub were present. There was no drain plug in the sick, so you could very easily lose something. Once we finally lied down, we realized the bed was SUPER UNCOMFORTABLE. How can someone look at those beds and say they’re acceptable for ANYONE to lay one?? The springs were literally poking us and preventing us from sleeping. There was hair in a bowl on the singular table in the room, and some appliance just sitting there unplugged. The channels were heavily limited as most of them were “Parentally Locked”. I’ve never had this bad of an experience at any motel anywhere and it’s honestly baffling. The door wasn’t flush with the wall and was hard to lock/unlock. WALLS ARE SUPER THIN. The ONE thing that would’ve made this any worse would’ve been bed bugs which LUCKILY weren’t there, though it felt like a gamble.

I stayed there for over a week and I enjoyed it. The room was nice and recently renovated along with the washroom, it had a stand up shower. I read the reviews before I checked in so I was looking out for some of the issues that others listed below. Over my the course of my stay here I saw the same spider on the ceiling and since spiders don’t bother me at all we got along just fine. There were definitely no bed bugs in the two rooms I stayed in. And I’m not sure why anyone would want to talk bad about the cleaning ladies or management like I also read below. I had no issues with them and I also didn’t cause any issues for them as well. Sounds to me like some of these reviews may have been written by guests that brought other problems on them selves snd were kicked out for either being too loud or trying to sneak their pets in the room. I appreciate that there is always someone working the front desk and how closely they watch the place so the guests feel safe and comfortable. And the ladies that clean the rooms are almost always around if you need fresh towels or anything else. There’s free WiFi just a click away the other thing I liked was that each time I turned on my shower it only took a minute or two for the hot water to come out. Check out is at 11 so if you plan to check out simply set your alarm for 1030 and then don’t be lazy like your at home in your own bed? Get up pack your stuff and proceed to check out for 11. I’ll most definitely stay there again in the future. And honestly I’ve stayed at a lot of motels and the one thing I wasn’t too fond of is that there’s not many places to walk to if you’re hungry and had a few drinks only an A&W about a km east on hwy 7 that’s why I gave a three for location. I should add that it’s one of the better A&Ws. I’ve never been a really huge fan of them but I am now. And I’m not sure why they don’t allow pets in the rooms because the floors all have nice and new laminate flooring which is durable and easy to clean up dog hair, but I’m sure they have reasons for not allowing all pets I wouldn’t let cats or any other pets in cause they smell but as long as someone has a well trained dog which is really easy to tell right away if the dogs obedience shows I don’t see any issues, however I’m well aware that there are plenty of terrible dog owners that get their dogs without knowing how a dog is supposed to be and be treated you can tell by how the dog walks on the leash if it’s a well trained dog. Dog owners like I’ve described are likely the reason why they don’t allow dogs here and I can only imagine how many people have tried to sneak their pets in. If you do stay at the Pinecrest Motel and you want your stay to be as good as mine was all you need to do is treat everybody the guests included and obviously the staff with the same respect you would expect and simply act like a grown up and I’m sure you’ll walk away just as happy as I was. If you’re not sure about any rules ask them so you know what they are strict about. Every other motel I’ve stayed at calls you at check out and if you take your time cause you’re tired guess what you need to pay to stay you can’t just stay for another 45 mins and think that’s okay. And all the other ones require a credit card deposit or cash deposit but this place only asks a $20 deposit for the key which I also thought was a good thing. As soon as I returned my key and thanked the front desk they handed me my $20 said thank you then I went straight to the A&W down the road to enjoy another bacon and cheese Uncle burger with sweet potato fries and a Oreo milkshake ;)

Clean room. We had options to rent the room from 2 hours to 24 hours. Check-in process was fast.

I would have given 3/5 stars this place but with the service that I have received, i just given it at 1 star. I'm just gonna list pros/cons of this location. PRICE - The price for per hour here isn't that bad especially if you're in for a late night check in or quick nap from travelling. ROOMS- Some rooms DO need repairs. The room I was in had a newly renovated washroom so it isn't really bad. It does have an after smell of cigarette though. SERVICE - Now this is where I am very disappointed. We have reserved to stay for good 6 hrs and we would have extended but then we had bank issues so we decided to leave and check out. Prior to that we had a nap and woke up 7 minutes late past the check out. Obviously we were rushing to leave and the guy receptionist called but we didn't hear anything so we hang up. Then he came knocking to the room saying it was check out time. What's the most ridiculous thing is that when we went out to the office to get the deposit back, we waited for good 10-15 minutes for the guy receptionist to come back (not sure where he went) and he wasn't gonna give back the deposit because we checked out "late". I told him we waited in the office for that last 15 min and he can check the cctv to see that we've been standing there. We were able to get the money back but it would have been appreciated if the guy working in the reception would have been a little understanding and have some sense of good customer service. The management should read all these reviews and do something.
