I love Towne East. As a teen in the 80s, it was the place to be. I have since moved away and when I'm in the area visiting family, we always stop in. I am so impressed with how busy it always is, the variety of stores and the great food court. When so many malls of the US are barren and dielectric, it makes me proud of Wichita to see they still value the mall atmosphere.

I had not been in a while but I must say that the experience is totally different after the shootings the past couple of years you find yourself being more on guard versus the carefree attitude we used to have while shopping you're trying to shop and watch your surroundings not the same experience so sad

There's always an intense vibe through out the whole place.. Tonight I went into a store with my mask. It wasn't the first store. And she said hi. Then 5 mins go by and a security guard comes up and tells me I have to take it off. Then I get followed and accused of stealing. I had no backpack or anything. Get the alarms at every store. Im not planning on buying something or am going to get forced to everytime I come to this place. Also showed hostility at Scheels.
