Me and my girlfriend did the Costa Rica tour and it was amazing. It felt like forever for the tour to happen, but once the wait was over and we were on the plane time just flew by. I couldn’t recommend the company enough. From start to finish the company and its incredible tour guide made sure that everyone on the tour had the best time they possibly could. I would definitely travel with them again.

Best Of Portugal (11Days) Dec 6-16 2024 I would give ZERO if I could! There is NOTHING Platinum about this company! I ALWAYS travel as a Solo Traveler and that’s what I signed up for when I decided on The Best of Portugal tour. Imagine my surprise when I arrived at the hotel in Lisbon and was told by the Front Desk Clerk, NOT TRFALGAR, that I was going to have a roommate! Things started off ok but she soon showed her true colors. She was borderline Stalker in that first meeting she constantly talked about how much she loved my eyes and couldn’t stop looking at my eyes and talking about them. The first compliment or two is one thing but to be obsessed the way she was had me questioning how safe I was going to be around her! She NEEDED to know every last thing I was doing, where I was sitting for meals, which optional experiences I was signing up for, etc. I finally told her we don’t NEED to do EVERYTHING together!! Talk about a Co-Dependent Solo Traveler. She had ZERO sense of Personal Space, always laying facing me as close as possible, sometimes draping her arm onto my bed. She snored and talked in her sleep which kept me awake. She made a mess EVERY TIME she went into the bathroom and NEVER cleaned up after herself. I’m guessing it’s because she has housekeepers at home in Singapore to do that for her. The Entitlement she had was infuriating! She would constantly push into me when seated on the bus trying to get more room for herself and at one point leaned over me asking if I had more room as she was pushing me into the wall. I told her NO, I don’t, you’re already pushing me into the window! She also had Main Character Syndrome where she would constantly walk in front of people who were trying to take photos without a care that she was ruining their shots, always with her selfie stick taking photos of herself with no regard for anyone else. She wouldn’t listen to what the Tour Director or Local Specialists were saying then would expect me to tell her what was happening and got angry at me if I didn’t! I also caught her twice trying to video record me which was Not Ok!!! I ended up paying extra at the last 2 hotels (when I was supposed to have had my own room THE ENTIRE TRIP!!!) so I could have my own room and try to maintain what little sanity I had left! Dealing with the nightmare that was her wasn’t all either. I had SIX instances of GI Issues from BAD Food, Including the special dinner following the cruise along the Douro River, which happened to be the night before my birthday. My first two bites of the main pork dish were fine but the 3rd was rancid and sour tasting. I immediately stopped eating! Needless to say the next morning I was sick and missed out on the paid optional experience that I expect a FULL REFUND for because NO ONE can plan when they are going to get sick! I also had a terrifying incident that took place that I immediately brought to the attention of the Tour Director and she completely downplayed the whole scenario saying it must be a scam. I explained to her several times the severity behind the incident but I felt she wasn’t taking me seriously. I never told her it happened again days later after being so dismissive the first time it happened. Trafalgar, you ruined my Birthday trip and my Birthday itself and I will NEVER, EVER, EVER book another trip with your company again!! So many on the trip (of 52 people – INSANE!!) have traveled with your company several times, told me to give you guys another chance and not let this cloud my judgement towards you but I DON’T give second chances to be treated like garbage, I learned that the hard way many years ago! In the 9 years that I’ve been traveling solo, this is by far THE WORST birthday trip I’ve endured and last year’s trip (Dec 2023) had a mass shooting (In Prague)! I should get a Full Refund for this trip but I don’t expect that you would be that honorable. The ONLY good thing I can say about this trip was that our Coach Driver, Tiago, was Insanely Good at his job!

My Best of Germany trip with Trafalgar was truly the Best! We saw so many unique things in each region of Germany. The food, company, and Tour director were exceptional. I’m so glad I did this tour!
