Mike is a great communicator — he would make a great doctor because he was able to talk through and show clearly what work needed to be done in a straightforward way. Scheduling was easy, my repairs were completed quickly, and I’m pleased with the results.

Took our 2006 Subi Forester here and I feel deeply grateful to have found this place. Mike and his team are really good auto-mechanics. And, Mike is an exceptionally good communicator about what is wrong and what options you have for fixing it. I cannot overstate how great it is that he communicates so well… and, most importantly, he takes pride in doing the job right! He likes your old Subie as much as you do and he wants to keep them on the road. I drive all over the continent in my 20year old Subi and now that Mike put new MLS head gaskets in it, my car is good to go another 150+k miles!! Take your car here!!

I was on the hunt for a new shop after having nothing but uncomfortable and predatory encounters at the 'big Subaru' joint. I asked around the community where Subaru drivers are going and overwhelmingly they came back with 'Mike at DHM.' Upon my first call into the shop, I felt relief in my choice to try them out. I stated I needed an oil change and would they also be able to look over my vehicle and have it ready to go out on a months long road trip and to do whatever they needed to do for that. At the appointment, I appreciated that Mike still called me to give me an update that everything was good on the oil change, they were able to simply clean out the other filters and such, but the cabin filter was beyond salvageable and would I be ok with it being replaced. The only charge was the filter itself. They even looked over my spare tire and ensured it was good to go. When I came to pick up my car, I was able to chat with Mike (and I believe his son, I'm so disappointed I cannot remember) for easily 30mins. He answered all of my random car questions, told me about the history of the shop and his dad, talked about his family and has a real pride in the community. Mike gave me great advice and information, very open and incredibly trustworthy. When a business is heavily trafficked on word alone, and doesn't need to advertise, you know you've found the real deal. Thank you to Mike and the team at DHM.

This was BY FAR the BEST experience I’ve EVER had with an auto mechanic shop. I literally left the shop wanting to pay more! That’s how GREAT my experience was with Mike at DHM Automotive. When have you ever had an experience like that from an auto-mechanic? Or any service-based trade for that matter. Mike took over the shop after his father passed and he has carried on the tradition of excellent customer service, unmatched experience working with Subarus, and AFFORDABILITY. Mike is friendly, honest, transparent, extremely knowledgeable, and GENUINELY CARES about his customers. 5 Stars doesn’t do this shop justice. DHM Automotive outshines Southern Oregon Subaru’s maintenance department in every way — and then some.
