I came here a few times for simple highlights and at times all over toner. I booked 8 foils and expressed when I got there I just want to do 6 foils and no toner as I like when my hair lifts it leaves the color I want. They told me they had to call the manager to confirm I can do 6 foils and no toner. I was confused why the manager has to ok what I want to do with my own hair. Then I was told instead of 10 dollars per foil it is now $15 since I want 6 foils. I was very confused. The receptionist said I have to have 10 foils. I told her I never booked for 10 foils. I booked for 8 but I’d like 6 now as I don’t want too much highlights around my face. They started to explain how it’s a short service and that would be $60 dollars and I have to pay for the time the stylist would take. I never in my life done my hair and was told I can’t have a certain amount of foils and there is a minimum charge to do hair. I won’t be back.

Came to get a haircut for myself and my girls. I just wanted a simple cut so they gave me a very inexperienced/front desk receptionist who cut my hair. It was TERRIBLE! Just a simple cut went deeply wrong!I had pieces longer and shorter which I pointed out to her and I thought she fixed it but when I came home it was worse! I cannot believe I paid $60 for this! I wish I would have said something. Super sad as I have come there many times before.

For anyone looking for a hair salon that offers highly skilled stylist and excellent value, I recommend Total Beauty Essentials at Oakville Place. In particular, I can recommend Abla. Abla is a perfectionist who takes her time and has superb colouring skills. My hair tends towards orange when colour is applied, but with Abla's magic, I always leave the salon with perfect colour, and an excellent cut to top it off. Another thing I greatly value in a stylist is when they listen to my requests and deliver what I ask. I've never been disappointed at Total Beauty Essentials.

Thanks to Vivian for creating such a beautiful up do! So far, I’ve been dealing with very nice employees at that hair salon for booking appointments for my upcoming wedding. Vivian took the time to clearly understand what I wanted and gave me some ideas and welcome advices for my engagement photoshoot. I’m definitely going back for my wedding day :-)
