Very tasty “home cooking” style food (not haute cuisine).Very flavourful and unpretentious dishes with some interesting variety on the menu. Slightly overpriced for what it is and the vegetarian options are quite disappointing.

Just went to Turnip and thyme and had a great experience, the best eatery I've been to in Sheffield so far. Very nicely decorated, friendly service (also very relaxed about the fact we were about 15 minutes late), and the food was very tasty. Would highly recommend the lamb with sweet potato puree and vegetables. Prawn bruscetta was tasty but I would say slightly expensive for the portion size. Regardless we will definitely be coming back here in the future.

Lovely little independent bistro. Great efficient and friendly service. Have visited on a number of occasions and never been disappointed. Food always great quality with something for everyone. Would highly recommend and needs booking. Will no doubt be back again. (Just a note, we visited on a cold wet day and it was warm and cosy which is not always the case).

We had dinner here on New Years Eve. Cute little restaurant with +/- 10 tables and friendly staff. Food was very tasteful. Only con I can think of is that it was a bit pricey.
