Interesting mid-century building from 1956, originally the America Fore Insurance Group Building, designed by architects Curtis & Davis.

Homelessness with underage kids is never an easy task for a single parent. Having someone to show up in times of struggle sure lightens the load. I am incredibly impressed with the dedication and commitment shown by Mrs. Elizabeth Garland in her role at United Way of Southeast LA. Her work ethic and compassion for others is truly immaculate, and she consistently goes above and beyond in her duties. From the very first day Mrs. Elizabeth demonstrated a remarkable level of trustworthiness, professionalism, and passion for her work, ensuring that she did all that she could to connect my children and I with the best resources possible. What truly sets Mrs. Elizabeth apart is her willingness to extend the help above and beyond her assigned responsibilities, purely out the kindness of her heart. To the highest standards she is always ready to help and lend a hand to families in hardship or struggle with basic needs. Her genuine care and compassion have made a significant impact on my children and I life, also on the life of those she serves. Mrs. Lizzy is a shining example of what it means to work at a Crisis resources organization. Her contributions have enhanced hope and inspire me to continue to believe that they are still great people who will help you survive your life crisis. I am grateful for her hard work, and I am confident that she will continue to make a positive difference in all her future endeavors. Heavenly father, I come to you in Thanksgiving, gratitude, and humility. Lifting up in prayer your faithful servant Elizabeth Garland, who serves as a crisis resource agent. I ask for your divine protection and strength over Mrs. Elizabeth as she navigates the challenging and often overwhelming situations she encounters daily. I pray for Mrs. Elizebeth physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being. Shield her from the toll that this demanding work may take and replenish her energy and spirit so she may continue to serve with a compassion, empathy and unwavering dedication. Lord bless Mrs. Elizabeth with your peace that surpasses all understanding. May your presence be a constant source of encouragement and strength as she walks alongside those who are hurting. I trust in your promise to be with her always and I asked that you surround Mrs. Elizabeth with your love and protection. In Jesus sweet Holy name Amen!

I tried calling to ask for assistance with utility and the lady that answered was so rude. Trying to rush me off the phone. She kept interrupting me when I would try and ask a question. When I finally was able to get a question in She said she had a number when I told her I need to write it down. She gave it to me quickly without even giving me a chance to get something to write it down. If your job is to help people then you should be more cordial and help.
