We had a fantastic experience with Scott from USA Dog Behavior. He is incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and clearly passionate about what he does. Our dog Woody responded so well to his positive training methods, and we saw real improvements in just a few sessions. Scott took the time to tailor the approach to our dog’s specific needs and made sure we felt confident continuing the training at home. Highly recommend!

Scott does an incredible job creating a custom plan for your dogs individual needs. He focuses on training you, as the owner, as opposed to the dog itself. Going into it with the expectation that you are learning how to train your dog and not that your dog is going to be trained for you is very important. If you take his advice and are consistent with your pet, you will see incredible results.

A small Google Review box simply does not provide adequate opportunity to explain how incredible Scott is and the impact he made on our anxious little dog. Scott and his lovely wife Barbara are very professional and respectful. Barbara and I initially spoke for over thirty minutes about my goals for training. She asked all the right questions and clearly heard and understood our needs and concerns. During our first meeting with Scott, we went over all of our history and goals for training. Then, it was straight to training! Some of the exercises that we learned looked a little funny, but Scott took the time to ensure we understood the science and research behind what we were doing. We had fun going to our training sessions, too. Scott is HILARIOUS, and made the one hour sessions fun. I looked forward to going to “class.” AND IT REALLY HAS WORKED. Our dog’s anxiety has significantly reduced, and walks are a lot more enjoyable and calm as a result. We know this is a long process, but in just a few months we have already noticed a significant difference in his behavior. Most importantly, Scott treated our dog with respect. He showed a genuine empathy for his anxieties and the health problems he had faced this year. Our dog loved going to his house, and was spoiled with treats, pets, and love the entire session. Thank you to Scott and Barbara for all of your time and help! We are immeasurably grateful to you both and miss our fun sessions together!

Scott and Barbara were incredible with our dog, Ret! We had taken Ret to a few different board and train places in the past (and even did their refresher courses), but unfortunately some of the behaviors we were concerned about weren't getting any better. Scott quickly helped us get to the root of Ret's issues, and we saw noticeable progress in Ret's fear-based aggression towards other dogs within just a few sessions with Scott (he even gave us super helpful at-home training tips and exercises to work on between meetings and to continue Ret's training after our last session). My wife and I would highly recommend USA Dog Behavior to anyone looking for help diagnosing and training their dog!
