Review from 27 Bold St: Too much to even complain about - the other reviews said most of it. 0 Communication. 0 Care for any of the tenants. Blatant ignorance and refusal to respond to emails or calls. Went months without gas, months without A/C in the summer, random power outages, broken front/back doors going without repair, squatters, vandalism, break-ins, ALL WITHIN 3 MONTHS. Our compensation? 2 months rent. But don't get too excited - our hydro bill is now doubled because of the extra usage of portable A/C's and hot-plates out of our expense! We even made it to the news! (Seriously, google the article). Hope the 0 communication was worth it Valour! Now you have 0 satisfied renters! 👍

Terrible management! DO NOT RENT. We live in 301 Westmount road. We have been here since April and have had so many issues. 1. First, our AC wasn't in a working condition. The management refused to respond to our emails and it took them 3 months to get the issue fixed. This was in the middle of a heatwave. We had to buy portable ACs and fans. 2. The garbage chute was blocked for 2 months. We had to go downstairs to throw out our thrash. The management did not care to clear the garbage bins which were overflowing and each time we opened our window we could smell rotten garbage. Our apartment also had several flies. 3. The security system is broken. We cannot buzz in any guests and have to go down to get them. I also ordered several packages from UPS and had to go to the pick up location as the delivery person couldn't dial the entry system. 4. The building also has had several break ins in the last few months and the a lot of cars were damaged. 5. We faced the worst problem this weekend. Our toilet is clogged. Our bathtub is full of human waste from another unit. My partner had to scoop out the human waste with his hand. Our toilet then overflowed (we haven't used the toilet for last 24 hours because of the issue) and there was dirty water in our bedroom and living room. We used up all possible cleaners and around 20 towels to soak the water. Our apartment smells of poop. We have been trying to call the so called 'emergency number' which is a call center. The people at the call center do not care and were of zero help. 6. We do not have a building superintendent and there is no way to get help if some major issue arises. 7. The building hasn't cleared snow and it is difficult to step out without the risk of fall. I just called valour management office at 9:17 am and they say I am calling outside business hours. FYI the business hours advertised are 9-5. We are really reaching the point where we have to report this to the city and to LTB. The conditions in this building are unsanitary and they charge very high rent. We are forced to move out as soon as our lease is up. I hope my review helps other people to make an informed decision before considering this building. I have documented all the issues via emails and pictures and happy to discuss with anyone if you have any questions!
