I’m so happy I chose VanWest! I met many new friends here. The teachers are patient and friendly. Their lessons are also fun and helpful. Every day, I was excited to go to school! At first, I was too shy to speak English. But after a few weeks, I could talk with classmates from different countries. My listening also got much better. The best part is we have student advisors for each country. I don’t need to worry about English when I have questions. Finally, thank you to our beautiful and kind Taiwanese advisors Catherine and Chloe. You always helped me a lot! If you are looking for a school in Vancouver, I highly recommend VanWest!

I recently graduated from the Early Childhood Education program at VanWest College (Vancouver campus), and one of the best parts of the program was having Susan as my teacher. The way she shared her knowledge about the ECE field was so inspiring, and her stories from working in childcare really helped me prepare for interviews. She always checked in with us during practicum and made sure we were doing okay. She’s super supportive, kind, and funny, and I honestly feel lucky to have had her. I’ll always look up to her as the kind of teacher I want to be. If VanWest ever offers an Infant and Toddler program in the future, I would love to take it, especially if I can learn from Susan again.

If you want to improve your English skills, VanWest College is the best choice! You will have four tests every week: Listening, Reading, Writing, and Speaking. Before you start, you will take a language test to assign you to the right class. I study in ESL Level 5, which is about practical English for students who are just learning the language. VanWest has two Chinese advisors to take care of Taiwanese students—Chloe and Catherine. They are so nice and pretty, so don’t worry about anything at school. If you have any questions, you can talk to them in Chinese!
