Visions KC was a beautiful and perfect venue for our wedding. The coordinator Shelly, was wonderful in every form. We were so happy to have the reception be in a hotel with out paying for all the expenses that come with having a hotel wedding and using only their services. My only suggestion for the venue is to be more upfront with costs, primarily bar related . Thank you so much Shelly for helping us pull of the best day ever! Abby & Blake Smith

If you would have asked me to write a review before my event i would've given it negative stars. ******BUT ******new management took over during the process of planning my event and I could not have been more happier with the results. Savannah is AMAZING. She is respectful, considerate, and is made up of all the things necessary to be a successful event planner. She makes sure whatever you need is done no matter what. She took care of us and did not make us feel like a burden. She stepped in where previous employees refused and I would definitely recommend her and her staff for an event. Give them a chance to rewrite the negative feedback that has been given before because they definitely will deliver.

The staff Amanda, Vicki, and Kelly were rude and unprofessional and almost ruined my wedding on October 22 2016. I signed a contract with Amanda in February after learning the costs and details associated with the venue and then only contacted in August to have our first meeting. In September we had our first meeting to go over details about my set up and i guess since there were a lot of complaints about Amanda she no longer worked there so we met with the new Coordinator Vicki. She tried to charge me for everything that was supposed to be included in the space when we signed our contract with Amanda. I had to have multiple emails and meetings to get them to honor what we agreed on with Amanda when we signed our contract in Feb. They Definitely cared more about making money than anything. They were rude to my vendors and also charged service charges that were never mentioned or in the contract and when they were questioned about them they yelled at me and threatened to cancel my wedding and not refund my money if I didn't pay it, and it was added on two weeks before my wedding. I still don't know what they were for. They told me every hotel has extra service charges but when I called the GM of the Marriott there she told me Visions KC was not associated with the hotel and they were separate from them and charged what they want. The GM also told me that hotels usually always put those fees in their contracts. It is almost like the venue was trying to hide the extra fees until the end bc they know you have no choice to switch venues. They told me shame on me for not knowing better and also that I asked too many questions and they weren't going to answer me anymore. They also told me I was just looking for something for free and they bent over backwards for me and they werent going to do it anymore. They literally had me in tears two weeks before my wedding just for questioning their service charges of over $2000!! I spared no expense for my wedding and never asked for anything for free and they tried to scam me. I paid for an open beer and wine only bar for my guests ( over $7000) and water and soda was not included and I was supposed to pay for that separate after the wedding bc they said they needed to tally the number (they said not to exceed $75) but they ended up charging all of my guests for water and soda for an hour and a half/cocktail hour, before I arrived and It completely embarrassed me by charging them for that and I started crying when I found out from guests right before I was supposed to make my grand entrance. It was also very hot in the venue and there were many complaints about the temperature but they said they couldn't do anything bc the air was controlled by the corporate offices of Marriott. They also threatened my caterer who wanted to do a dessert shot for an Italian traditional toast for our guests after dinner. They told him he was not to do it bc it was made with a little bit of lemon cello liquor and if she catches him or anyone bringing in any kind of outside alcohol she will shut down the wedding so fast!! Just plain rude. I could go on!!! It is a pretty space but save yourself the stress and anxiety of dealing with visions kc who just rent that space from the marriott and have no people or life skills! I was caused a lot of stress and anxiety from them very close to my wedding and was not able to change venues that close to my date and they knew that. Had I known what they were like before I used them I would have never picked this place. I hope other brides don't have the same experience while spending their savings on their dream wedding and having to deal with a venue that almosts ruins it all for you!
