Sept 2023 I was in Nova Scotia with friends that had signed on (Jan 2023) with Karen Gillighan to look at properties in Nova Scotia. The week was frustrating at best. She was unprepared, having only 2-3 properties lined up to view. Her communications were lacking. She pushed a property multiple times on them that they were not interested in. She ignored their wants. Told them "you don't want this property" or " it's too remote" when they inquired about properties. It was a horrid experience and as a result of Karen's disregard to them as the clients, they didn't wind up purchasing a property in Nova Scotia.

We found our realtor John Watson through the Viewpoint site. He treated us as if they were his only clients even though his phone was lighting up constantly. He took the time to listen attentively, understand our needs and answer our questions to make sure we found a house to make a home. John was also very flexible and relaxed. During this crazy market he took us out to see as many homes as we needed in the timeline we required. He kept us feeling positive about our ability to find what we needed. John was very understanding , helpful and patient. He made us feel comfortable and treated us like long time friends. When looking through homes John looked enthusiastically through each house with us and helped us to see how our family would function in it. Being new to Nova Scotia it was important for us to be able to ask a million questions and learn about the area.He quickly got to know our needs and wants for a home and neighbourhood. He helped us to narrow down to find what areas of Nova Scotia would best suit our family. We were all over the map and he always found time. There were multiple homes we wanted to bid on and John ensured our offers were desirable to sellers without going out of our comfort zone. John has a clear focus, calm demeanor, sense of humour and a strong work ethic which together provided us comfort and security while moving across the country in such a tumultuous market. We are beyond happy with the house, land and location of our new home.
