Villa Verde Yeovil

Had an excellent, very well,prepared, cooked, presented meal here. The staff are so very friendly and happy to help. It's not the cheapest meal I've had, but you certainly get what you pay for. Will go again. Faultless.

We came here for dinner and it was amazing! The menu has plenty of choice, and service was fast and very friendly. The food was absolutely delicious. Would definitely come here again.

3.4 stars out of 5. Our experience could have been much better... but also could have been much worse. We arrived late. The restaurant appeared empty. The dinner music was nice. The table was very sticky - I had to place a napkin to cover where my arms might contact the table (it stuck in place). On arrival, the staff were outside the entrance smoking (I have no issues with that, personally, but it isn't a good look for a restaurant). The Minestrone soup was underwhelming. The Lamb shank beautifully cooked, but extremely bland. I suggest seasoning? The chicken was 'good', but not memorable. The drinks were the highlight. Elderflower St Clements - thoroughly enjoyed by my partner ★★★★★ The Argentinan Malbec was also good ★★★★★ For the 'price vs quality' argument, the Laroch in Ballachulish was dramatically better value for incredible food. At these prices (Villa Verde), I expected better, to be honest. PARKING: Venue has its own carpark, where diners can park for free.
