I’ve been using TruGreen for lawn care services over the past few months and have seen a noticeable improvement in the overall health and appearance of my yard. Their technicians are punctual, professional, and always take the time to explain the treatments they’re applying. I appreciate the emails before and after service that allows me to be present when the technician is here so I can let them know my current lawn and shrub issues.

I'm sad to write this review because the people I spoke to that signed me up were terrific. I spoke with Miranda and Jacob at Richmond Virginia facility and I signed up, but I was very pleased with the offerings and the pricing and I was told personally by Jacob that he would give me his phone number in an email so that if I any problems, I could contact him because I'd like to have local people to work with especially if they know the area I waited several hours. Never got an email so when I called, I couldn't believe my ears. I was getting offshore people in India the Philippines, South America How does a company do business with offshore customer service? Nobody could give me his phone number I was so angry because this was the only reason I signed up because I really liked him and thought you know what I have a local person if I have any problems can you imagine dealing with offshore people? Do they know your lawn? Do they know your neighborhood? Do they know anything it is bad strategy of the company to make this kind of phone tree where you call a local 804 number and speak to someone in Swaziland so within 20 minutes of opening my account I closed it 20 minutes later. I can't recommend them. I recommend the sales people they were terrific, but I can't recommend the company because their customer service teams doesn't give you access to local people if you have people maintaining your lawn in Virginia you want to speak to people in Virginia not China Russia, India, Poland, Greece Spain what is worse , I had to get on my hands and knees and beg the company. I just fired to take me back. They really put me in a terrible predicament and wasted my morning. Update How unethical can a company be they refuse to close my account and remove my debit card do not do business with these company

I definitely would NOT recommend TruGreen. They aerated and over-seeded my yard last August. Then right afterwards, they put down liquid weed killer. Needless to say, this totally messed up my yard. To correct this, they offered me 2 additional services which they did. They also said they’d give me another free aeration this September. When I checked into this last week…I was told that I have to be an “active” customer in order to get this “free” aeration, and I’ll need to renew with them for another year. When I talked to Customer Service…they said this wasn’t right….they’d check it out and call me back the very next day. Needless to say, I’ve been “ghosted” by TruGreen. My yard looks as bad as it did when I initially signed up with them.

Not real happy with this outfit. They have a broad based company and they offer you a very competitive price for their services. The customer service is always very friendly and responsive. Where they go bad is in a few places. Their online application is darn awful. Sometimes it’s spotty and unreliable. If you have to call them be prepared to wait 30/45 min. They muffed our first visit. Nobody showed up (as agreed) to do a walk through (I have a large yard), no soil analysis (as agreed). The first fella that came by had no clue he was the first visitor…he was here for a weed control application. He also complained about the poor communication within his company. Note the photos. It looks like a pattern for a football field. All crabgrass and the green streaks will die off anyway, but the attention to detail was awful. Not a good way to build trust in that further treatments will be done to standard. Sadly we had to let them go.
