I have been using this garage for 6-7 years without issues, but over the last two years, the quality of service has declined significantly. My most recent experience was extremely disappointing. I took my car in for a major service and MOT. Later, I was informed that my car failed its MOT due to a registration plate light not working but on the MOT report, this was listed as a minor issue, which should not have caused a failure. I was also quoted £640 for additional work, including an unjustifiable £12 charge just to replace a car key battery, which I declined. When I picked up my car, I found the air filter lid left on my dashboard, which immediately raised concerns about their attention to detail. I had to go back inside and ask the service supervisor, Raj, to fix it. I then specifically asked if all the paid-for work had been completed to standard, and he assured me it had. However, when I got home, I checked and found that the very issue they failed my MOT for (the registration plate light) had not even been fixed. After multiple calls and emails, they finally admitted they hadn't done the job and offered a refund but as of now, I still haven’t received my money. This raises serious concerns about whether they are charging customers for work they haven’t actually done. A garage I once trusted now feels more like a scam. Another incident last year also added to my doubts—after a full service, my oil warning light came on within two days. When I returned, Raj simply said they would top it up, which suggests they never serviced or refilled the oil properly in the first place, despite charging me over £250. It’s truly unfortunate to see a once reliable garage operate this way. I would strongly advise potential customers to double-check their work and be cautious before paying. Hopefully, they improve their standards before losing more loyal customers.

When I moved from Hounslow to Southwark I initially stopped using VSC and looked for a nearer garage to service my car. I tried a few places and wasn’t happy with any of them. So I returned to VSC - it’s worth the long drive to deal with people I can trust for honest advice and fair prices. I’d recommend them to anyone.

extremely disappointed with the service I received from VSC car servicing and MOT Hounslow. I failed my MOT because the examiner mistakenly mistook the letter ‘I’ for the number ‘1’. This was an obvious error that should have been easily identified, and yet it resulted in me being failed. It’s frustrating and frankly unacceptable that such a minor issue caused such a significant problem, especially when the mistake was clearly on their part. It shows a lack of attention to detail and professionalism. The MOT tester was giving excuses such as he never saw a car with the letter “I”. Forget getting a refund, they were not even sorry about it. I expected better from a company that should be setting higher standards. I will not be returning, and I strongly advise others to be cautious when dealing with them.

Booked the car in for a mot. Dropped the car off at the agreed time and the picked the car up after one hour. The staff were very friendly and courteous as usual. Also very good value at £40, normally have to pay the full price of £54.85. I would strongly recommend using this garage.
