The lawyer I worked with was one of the worst experience I've ever had with a lawyer. My recommendation - avoid at all costs. One of the most annoying things is that he never returns phone calls. If you call the office you will always be redirected to his voicemail. You may get a reply by email if you are lucky in a few days. However general trend is that you'll be waiting for days and sometimes weeks to get a reply even by email. Waiting is what you should get ready to deal with when it comes to this firm. As well as everything happening last moment in a rush. This was really frustrating. It took almost 4 months (!!!) to get all the paperwork done after they closed my deal. Basically I had to go to their office and literally demand the papers to be released to me. That was the only way to get them to do something. I'm not the only one. There are people in the area who are still waiting for their closing documents after 8 years. I'm not exaggerating. The biggest problem was that they didn't do a proper due diligence at the beginning of the deal. Issues got uncovered when I was well into the deal financially. Then he finalized things in such a way that it took me a year of lawsuits to straighten things out. I still haven't completely recovered from the damage financially. And of course when things went sideways he failed to stand behind what he did and referred me to a different lawyer. I'm not even going to go deeper into a myriad of small things like not following my instructions but making it look like he did what I asked for, or sending me double than average bill. Even the title insurance company he chose was very hard to deal with. Bottom line, this firm is not a good choice.
Over $100 to get a single and very typical legal document notarized (certifying a copy of a will (read: making a copy of a document, and writing one's signature on the copy)). I'm beside myself on this—no matter who you are or what you can do, your time and energy simply isn't worth this much. What's worse is that they didn't ask me to pay this fee for the notarizing up-front—they expected I'd be getting more legal services from them ( l o l ), and so didn't even tell me there was a fee. When I'd asked if I could pick up the original will from them (which tipped them off that I was already using another lawyer), *that's* when they hit me with the crazy fee. Talk about a close shave with bankruptcy.
Good dedicated lawyers who put your needs and goals first. If you can't meet at the office they have no problem meeting you somewhere public or coming to your home. The lawyers I've had from here are awesome respective and great at their job.
