Waypoint Coffee

I had a coffee date with a friend and we were quite disappointed in the products and services offered and the prices that we paid for them. Coffee shops need to offer more customized services if they want customers to return. 1. The volume in a large ice coffee was noticeably more than in a large hot coffee. Though both drinks were priced the same. I would prefer the hot drink in a larger mug, since the small mug that was used for a large drink was a joke. Please don't make the iced drink smaller. 2. The pastry was stale and did not taste fresh at all. For $5 a piece it is unacceptable! 3. My friend got a lunch special, a wrap and a potato salad as a side. There were like 2 scoops of a salad, the wrap was dry and there was almost no sauce in it. For $15... it’s not enough to say the least. The waitress came across cold and uninviting. My coffee was almost spilled when the mug was placed on the table. Positives: The atmosphere is nice (I love the paintings, photos and live plants in this modern industrial type of a building). Though looking at an old tractor from the window is not pleasant. I feel like the space is not very cozy, does not allow a lot of room for privacy and having conversations without bothering people sitting around. Maybe a soft music and some noise cancelling barriers between tables, arm chairs and booths would be a good idea. The selection of food is good though really overpriced. Though not impressed with the size, my coffee was made well and tasted delicious. I enjoyed it. My suggestions is to increase the portion sizes and keep fresh pastries in house. And to make the atmosphere more inviting with more spaces for sitting and having some creative sound blocking barriers. I love coffee shops! I seriously do, though it might not seem like it! But I am not satisfied with mediocre service for a premium price. There is a lot of room for improvement.

Such a fun atmosphere and great service. I’m always impressed. I had an iced caramel macchiato with cold foam this last time and it was AMAZING. Will definitely be ordering it again. Can’t wait to go back!! I will probably have to have set myself some boundaries, because I want to go everyday 😅

I had been at Weypoint for lunch before and although the food was nothing to brag about it was at least edible. Yesterday's maple turkey sandwich was not edible! The turkey tasted old and was so dry. My friend ordered the same sandwich, hers was just as dry but also came with bad lettuce. After she got her order it took more than 20 minutes for me to get mine. At over $16 for that sandwich I don't ever plan on going back for food. I've had a variety of coffees and they have always been great!
