WCVM Small Animal Clinic (Veterinary Medical Centre)

My three year old standard poodle underwent his laparoscopically-assisted gastropexy at the clinic. I was very impressed with the staff. A fourth year student conducted our pre-op consult along with the vet who performed his surgery. They answered all my questions thoroughly and were very understanding of my dog's fear of strangers. The same student followed our case the whole way through, gave us a phone update after the surgery, and met us at pick up to answer our questions about aftercare. The vet who performed the surgery was in the OR when we picked our dog up but took the time to call us and make sure we had no concerns before the end of his shift which was very kind! It was well worth the drive from Winnipeg to know our furry lad got the very best care. Would come back in a heartbeat for any future surgery he needs.

All of the staff are amazing! Words cannot describe the passion and care they showed to Morty and myself. He was a champ throughout his time with them. They explained everything in detail about all of his procedures and findings without pressure to do anything unnecessary. I appreciate the love they had for Morty! Thank you is not enough. 100% recommend!

Dr. LJ (resident oncologist) was caring, gave detailed and easy to understand explanations, and timely diagnostic testing for our dog who was there for a medical oncology consultation. All staff- reception, vet student, and vet techs were great to deal with.
