I cannot express enough praise and more importantly confidence I have in Wealthquest and our advisor Steve King. I think it was just about 6 years ago, we were impressed with our portfolio. Now, in around 6 years later, our portfolio is just about double. Past the amazing care of our investments, Wealthquest offers financial assistance for our estate planning. And that’s not just a one time offer. We have revisited the Trust we set up just last month with no out of pocket expense. Steve has been diligent about contacting us when it is time to review our investments and consider any goals we are questioning and talk through. My favorite story was meeting with Steve when we cashed out on our second home in Ft. Lauderdale in 2016. My thought was to throw it all at the mortgage. Steve was like a therapist! So we placed half in a brokerage account and half at the mortgage that we paid off last July in 9 years. As of January 1, I was able to retire after selling my 39 plus year old company. Steve and his colleagues had us fill out forms a couple years ago to see what it would take financially to retire and continue our same lifestyle. My partner is going to be able to take 3%/year so as to not touch principle and leave a legacy. So it’s not just financial guidance in the investment.
