On 24th April 2024, in the evening, my daughter told me that terrapins were available for purchase at the outlet, as she had seen them in the display tank before her enrichment class. After her class, we went to the outlet to buy one. When we arrived, there were no terrapins in the display tank, so we asked the staff if they had any available. A male staff member confirmed they did and brought out a red pail containing several terrapins. My daughter selected one, and the staff placed it in a clear plastic container. We noticed that the terrapin’s eyes were closed and highlighted this to the staff. He explained that baby terrapins sometimes take a few days to open their eyes. Trusting his advice, we brought the terrapin home and transferred it to a tank. Over the next few days, the terrapin showed no signs of swimming or eating. Assuming it was still adjusting to its new environment, we waited. However, by Day 2 and Day 3, the terrapin remained inactive. Concerned, we returned to the outlet and informed the staff. Upon examining the terrapin, they confirmed it had passed away. The staff offered a replacement, and we brought a new terrapin home on Friday, 26th March. Unfortunately, the replacement terrapin also exhibited similar issues. It neither ate nor showed any signs of activity from Friday to the following Tuesday. Frustrated, I contacted their tech support via WhatsApp to report the issue. The response I received was alarming—tech support stated that terrapins do not keep their eyes closed for days and that something was likely wrong if their eyes remained shut. I was shocked, as this contradicted what the outlet staff had told me. As a customer, I trusted their professionalism. If their staff are providing incorrect information, they urgently need proper training. Tech support then asked me to share photos of the food I was feeding the terrapin, which had been recommended by the same staff member who sold it to me. This raised further doubts about the staff’s product knowledge. By Day 5, the terrapin still refused to eat, so I returned to the outlet to inform them. The staff suggested either waiting or taking the terrapin to a vet. I bought the terrapin for $9 and was advised to seek a vet’s assistance rather than being offered meaningful support by the outlet. I regret purchasing from this outlet and should have checked their Google reviews beforehand. For comparison, I later discovered that a shop in Serangoon North sells terrapins for just $2 each. Conclusion: Think twice before making a purchase from this outlet. Poor customer service, misinformation, and lack of support make it an unworthy choice.
Ordered these online for home delivery, open it to see all infested with bug thus waiting for customer service to get back, friend went down to Seletar mall Pet Lover to help get another brand of Hay so that my rabbits can have their daily hays. My friend was nice enough to inform them that this brand is infested , only for the staff to reply that its a common issues and that they know that it is infested so selling at a cheaper price. Ridiculous, why not tell your customers to buy as its infested with bugs
First time customer at this branch on 16 October 24. Friendly female staff served me. I bought items from Northpoint branch but the service at Northpoint branch was horrendous. Will buy our dog's needs from Seletar Mall branch in future. Thank you for your friendly service, I didn't get the young lady's name. I gave a good service feedback at the cashing counter, she deserves it. Keep up the friendly service.
