So I got a prescription for ensure three cases a week I don't have much of an appetite I have terminal cancer this is a prescription that was prescribed by my doctor to be covered by ohip the pharmacy refuses to deliver it to me it says that it doesn't qualify as a prescription and they have to pay for the delivery out of their own pockets the ensure is written on a prescription pad sent to them as a prescription is covered by ohip as covered by their pharmacy by ohip.. I'm pretty sure it's a prescription... I am not mobile I just moved here from another province so I don't have friends or family nor have access to a vehicle and my funds are very limited , only receiving CPP but yet they still refuse to deliver And I'm shocked by this the way I'm being treated ..when I call there asking for my drinks to be delivered...up until recently I was going there as a patient I was on the methadone program they were kind and caring and went out of the way from me now that I'm not on the program anymore I feel like I'm being treated differently sorry let me correct that I don't feel that I'm being treated differently I am being treated differently All they want to do when I call about my prescription is bring up money money money money money money money money money money money money money so what that tells me is they only cared when money was being generated for them But I do want to say this George he is a wonderful person who actually does care if it wasn't for him I don't know if I ever would have gotten clean thank you George and another person I would love to say thank you to is the wonderful reception Alyssa she's the best the hardest working individual I've ever met and she does really generally care about the people that go through there George and Alyssa you rock I will always have endearment in my heart for you too

This is not the first time I have posted a review about this particular clinic, and not surprisingly, my opinion of it has continued to deteriorate The doctor, Dr. Suman Koka is the prescribing physician at this clinic. Dr. Koka, in my opinion, and that of my severly disabled wife, is an uncompassionate and absentee who prescribes medication to his patients via ZOOM, from his clinic in Sudbury, ON. I have never met the man in person, nor has my wife. However the dismissive and one-sided attitude this doctor has toward the patients at Wellington Street Clinic, otherwise known as "Northwood Recovery" (laughable, in my opinion) as patients with addiction issues use their drugs of choice in open view on the property and in the view of the very management tasks with providing counsel to care to them. It continues to foster an environment where patients feel uncared for and at risk. Patients are expected to attend the clinic each and everyday. Without exception, to collect there medication no matter what their circumstances or medical condition. Wellington Street Clinic and Dr Suman Koka claim to offer convenient access to necessary prescriptions while ensuring privacy and discretion. His clinic is located in Greater Sudbury, ON where clients in that locale have access to his clinic. The claim to focus on delivering accessible healthcare is hogwash as kot one of us has ever even met with him. We continue to meet with his clinical assistant over ZOOM where are medications are simply renewed on a weekly basis without ever expressing any concerns to an actual doctor. Sadly, the doctor still justifies painting each and every patient with the same brush so to speak. If you are an addict, perhaps this clinic mat be the right place for you, however, if you have any sort of mental or physical disability, the writer assures you that you will find no compassion or concern for your well being and comfort. On a daily basis, my wife is forced to walk on legs that hardly even work after her mobility scooter was stolen. Suffering inhumanly as a result of Dr. Koka's insistence that she walk, she travels in agony only to do it all over again just to get home. As caregivers, patients can reasonably expect them to care for them and treat their medical needs with compassion and care but this clinic fails to live up to that quality or standard. Managed by staff who are indifferent to the suffering taking place, care only about the everpresent threat of being shut down by the government over their failure to provide any evidence of improvement in the services they offer. It's a sad state of affairs when the management tasked with ensuring your care fails you. In the author's opinion, Dr. Koka and Wellington Street Clinic should be shut down immediately before anymore suffering takes place. A quote that ud so proudly displayed in their lobby states "Success Doesn't Come From What You Do Occasionally, It Comes From what You Do Consistanantly". If there is any truth to that claim, my wife will continue to be forced to push her body beyond it's limits because of a "policy" created by an ignorant and abusive medical facility that says she has to show up everyday to be able to retrieve her prescriptions. By the time she gets home, she is in absolute agony. It is heartbreaking to watch and extremely traumatizing. I am appalled that this practice is deemed appropriate or even acceptable. We have been married for 23 years. It is preposterous that I am not considered when it comes to getting her medication home when pick up my medication. Wellington Medical Pharmacy may seem like a poisive environment with its free coffee, donuts, and bottles of water but I assure anyone who has thoughts of making this clinic their place of medical care, that they will receive better care from compassionate people at other clinics. Don't take any chances with your mental & physical well being. You deserve much more and I'm positive, the clinic willfully you as it has so many of us.
