Most recently, I had Invisalign and other cosmetic procedures performed, and I’m finally proud to show off my new smile! I’m really happy with all the efforts from the team at Ellerslie Dental Studio.

The dentist, hygienists and front desk ladies are kind and knowledgeable, the facility is clean. However, as it was explained to me-the system they use isn’t the best re billing, taxes (takes time to calculate what has been paid by client and ins as system doesn’t organize it) and scheduling. It is worth preparing for outstanding balances due to “insurance not getting back on time” or “not notifying what they cover or dentist using more of materials than expected” (which hasn’t been an issue in other clinics). Also, appointments will be cancelled without notice if they are not confirmed and you will still get appointment reminder on the day of, you just won’t be accepted when you show up. What is the point of having a 48h cancellation policy when lack of confirmation is considered an automatic cancellation? If you have money and don’t care for such issues then this clinic may be good for you. My kids enjoyed their visits and I had a successful root canal done and wisdom teeth removal for which I am appreciative but the financial aspect is starting to take a toll.

Friendly and knowledgeable staff. My hygienist was very detailed and explained every step. Made sure to adjust pressure and technique based on my points of sensitivity.

This was my first visit to this dental office, and unfortunately, I was very disappointed with the experience. The focus seemed to be more on generating revenue than on patient care. What was supposed to be a simple cleaning turned into a 1 hour and 10-minute session that the hygienist couldn’t even finish. I was then told I would need to return for another hour—just for a basic cleaning. I was charged approximately $530 for this incomplete service. Additionally, they seemed overly eager to take X-rays, without much explanation or concern for necessity. Each X-ray costs around $80, which adds up quickly. I didn’t get the sense that they were prioritizing my oral health. The office also appeared overstaffed with administrative personnel who didn’t seem very engaged or productive. Overall, I left feeling that the practice is more profit-driven than patient-focused. I will definitely be switching to another provider. I hope this feedback is taken seriously and used to improve their approach to patient care.
