Exceptional Pet Grooming Experience at Best Friends Pet Salon Rating: ā˜…ā˜…ā˜…ā˜…ā˜… I have been a loyal customer at Best Friends Pet Salon for all my Yorkies' grooming needs for over 15 years, and I couldn't be happier with the exceptional service they provide. From the moment I stepped foot into the salon, I knew my furry companions were in the best hands. One of my main concerns was how my younger Belgian Malinois, a high-drive dog, would react to the grooming process. However, Kathy, Kayla and their talented team went above and beyond to ensure a positive and comfortable experience for my energetic pup. They handled her with care and expertise, making her feel at ease during the grooming sessions. With each visit, I have noticed a remarkable improvement in my Malinois' behavior. She is gradually becoming more accustomed to the salon environment and now walks in with confidence. The transformation is truly impressive! Kathy, Kayla and their team possess a deep understanding of the unique needs and personalities of different dog breeds. As someone with over 30 years of experience as a hair stylist, I recognize the importance of leaving pet styling and cuts to the experts , it is definitely not the same as cutting peoples hair. Best Friends Pet Salon has undoubtedly proven their expertise in this domain, consistently delivering fantastic results. Not only do my fur babies come back looking amazing after each grooming session, but they also exhibit signs of being well-cared-for and happy. The attention to detail that Kathy, Kayla and their team display in their work is commendable. They listen attentively to my specific requests and always go the extra mile to ensure customer satisfaction. The salon itself is clean, organized, and equipped with modern grooming tools and products. The staff members are friendly, approachable, and genuinely passionate about what they do. It's evident that they prioritize the well-being and comfort of the animals in their work. In summary, Best Friends Pet Salon is an absolute gem when it comes to pet grooming. Their expertise, attention to detail, and genuine love for animals make them stand out from the rest. I highly recommend this salon to all pet owners seeking a top-notch grooming experience. Rest assured, your furry companions will be pampered and look their absolute best when you pick them up.

I do not recommend! I don’t know if they got new employees or they just don’t care anymore but I brought my dog in to get a haircut and I kid you not he looks like all he got was his fur washed and brushed out. I always ask for a teddy bear cut with about 1-2 inches of fur left and when I asked for that this time they said they were going to de-shed and scissor trim instead???? Please take your dog elsewhere, I should not have paid $85 dollars for a brush out that I could’ve done myself at home. For example this is how he looked before, after and what he’s SUPPOSED to look like with a teddy bear cut.

My normal groomer was unavailable. I was so happy to get my dog done here. They got him in right away and did a great job! Their privces are great too!

I would highly advise staying away from this business. It was a poor experience for both me and my pup. I took my doodle in to see Kayla for her first ever grooming. First red flag was the fact that she wouldn’t let me stick around. I asked directly because it was my pups first time and her response was ā€œIt’s going to take up to 3 hours, it’s a long processā€. I said I didn’t mind and would like to stay. She then responded with ā€œWell you can hang around the area and I’ll call you when she’s doneā€. I found it weird she wouldn’t let me stay, especially after reading her response to a previous review stating they were welcome to stick around if they wanted. When I picked my pup up, she was all sorts of frazzled. I figured she would be to some degree, but the concern set in after days of completely abnormal behavior. It’s been 5 days and she isn’t listening to me, she’s showing aggression, barking/whining excessively, is amped up, and jumping/cowering at every little movement. She was also really groggy and losing her balance for 2 days after going in. On top of all of this, she got a bad haircut. I messaged Kayla the same day and sent pictures asking what happened to her belly. She went in with her hair one length in that area, and came back with bald spots all over. It shows on her knees when she’s sitting too. Kayla kept trying to tell me it was ā€œnormalā€ and because of hair growth direction. Sorry, but no. I’m a licensed hairdresser and that’s false. My dog didn’t go in with bald spots and it’s impossible for that to happen unless she messed up. The haircut is the least of my concerns, however. I’m mostly wondering how they handled my pup because she is not herself and it’s unsettling. I’ll be talking to my vet and spreading caution about this place. UPDATE: Per the owner’s response, it’s clear that integrity is an issue here. Your reasoning for the bald spots is completely understandable, however, Kayla insisted it was due to hair growth patterns and would not own up to anything going awry. She also didn’t give the same reasoning for not allowing me to stay. Instead, she rushed through the intake process and just kept saying she would call when my pup was done. I wouldn’t say that’s a ā€œhappyā€ demeanor my pup is showing on the grooming table pictured. As far as the behavioral piece, I’ve since read several other reviews stating their dogs weren’t themselves, spirit broken, acting funny, etc. after having been groomed at your place of business. I even came across one stating they personally witnessed dogs being handled aggressively there. Honesty is everything, especially when it comes to trusting someone to take good care of our fur-babies.
