Michael Brown (mikeyjb)I was expecting to find good prices great selections and walked in around the entire store comparing prices and was absolutely shocked. Costco is way cheaper by far. Prices in this store are no different than the Canadian Superstore as well as other grocery stores in the city. Unless you're wanting bulk buying options you're not saving any money. Won't be coming back here. First time here and the last.
Ha JGood for large amounts of candy/chips/ frozen foods. Produce never looks great, more specifically the bagged salads have looked old the last few visits. Bought a 30 pack of eggs on my last visit and the quality is the worst I have ever seen. The yolks were so pale and tasteless that I threw the eggs in the garbage. My son and I also had GI upset from the sale bacon I purchased. The final thing I don’t like about this place is needing change for a cart, it’s just inconvenient. I don’t think I’m going to come back unless its to make goodie bags for kids. Even then, it’s not cheap.

Going above and beyond!! An embarrassing situation became a thankful one instead. I'm definitely becoming a repeat customer.
Athena WI haven't been in there since the early 2000's. It's changed a bit. Instead of competing with Costco, it's become what Costco used to be - more restaurant and business oriented. You can find all sorts of take-out containers, restaurant grade cookware and storage containers. Some neat food items you would not find at Superstore, like a case of broccoli, or large tubs of ice cream, large chunks of beef, wholesale candies and drinks to name a few. Prices are OK if you need small qualities of wholesale items.
