As an American in Canada this made me feel like I was shopping in communist Cuba. Total culture shock with most of the brands of beer being American. I felt like I was on an adventure and in an alternative universe. The lack of selection makes me feel like I need a beer ration card to get my monthly allotted beers. I the inside needs a tune up, maybe a proper communist mosaic would help.

I'd like to provide an update on this review. Bryce the store manager is outstanding. Not only did he make every attempt to make this situation right, he listened carefully and considerately to my complaint, even taking the time to meet with me. This is a rarity in the times we live in. I will be giving The Beer Store on Gore St another chance. It's truly nice to see there are good people left in this world... and somehow The Beer Store on Gore St. got one of them as a Manager. Thanks again Bryce!!! Wow... I am not a regular customer of this store. They have no way of determining what brands they have. They used to have a kiosk to look at what was available. So if you don't know what kind of beer you want, you have no way of looking at what they carry in stock. This coupled with aggression from the male cashier because I had no way to figure out what brands of beer they carry, makes this an uninviting experience... and they wonder why so many in Ontario want the sale of alcohol to be privatized. If this is indicative of the way they treat customers... I'm all for privatization.

went in twice with emptys and stood there while the girl kept serving people as they came in. left my emptys and walked out both times! go to northwood beer store for better customer service!

This is a really rough beer store. I'm sure its important to the area. The staff deal with some really brutal people, drug and alcohol abusers are frequent patrons. I wouldn't recommend young women going here. Although there is security guards present, so in reality anybody should feel safe. There is better Beer Store locations in the city. avoid if possible.
