What a fabulous little homemade goods boutique! I was looking to get some birthday presents for a friend of mine and I'm so happy we grabbed lunch five minutes from here and it popped up in my search! There was so much beautiful jewelry, art, soaps, candles, shirts, and other things from local artists, this was exactly the vibe I was looking for. I got some earrings, a card, and some stickers. The earrings came with complementary gift wrapping in the cutest little box! And I saved a few dollars paying in cash. The person at the desk was so friendly and helpful, I will definitely be back!

Despite this store having very left leaning merchandise, I did not feel welcome here at all as a person of color. When I browsed the store, I felt like I was getting dirty looks from the shopkeeper the whole time (she would frown when she made eye contact with me) and I was never greeted by any staff. but every white person who entered the store recieved a friendly warm welcome. This is a shame because I really liked some of the jewlery but I did not feel safe here.

This was awhile ago, but encouraged by a third party to share: I asked the staff (maybe owner?) if they have minimums on card purchases when I wanted to buy something on the cheaper side, I got, “No but just so you know if you do that, you might as well be stealing from me.” Spent $100s there before this interaction from a small business dictator. Will never be back. Buy directly from the artists instead.

This local boutique is filled with incredible gifts from countless artists and artisans - everything is locally made and sourced from jewelry to candles to pins and patches and stickers to greeting cards and postcards to t-shirts and clothing. As a local artist who both lives in the neighborhood and sells my Chicago-themed merchandise here, I appreciate their focus on locally made gifts and having a large variety for shoppers to choose from.
