Customer experiences
I had a mixed experience with this company. While they were nice and picked up my stuff quickly, they also charged me as soon as they picked up the stuff. The problem was the cargo I sent arrived five months later at destination. They are not very reliable. They issued fake receipts to me claiming they sent my cargo several times. In reality they had not sent it for several months.
We have send parcels at least from 10 years now, no complain, nice people. Not only one damaged, but the boxes were solid, well balanced and carefully packed with extra supplies.
Buyer beware. WE CANNOT EVEN REGISTER THE BIKES IN HUNGARY BECAUSE THE IMPORT PAPERS WERE INCORRECTLY FILLED OUT. And the shipper tells us it's our fault, denies responsibility. We shipped my motorcycle from Montreal to Hungary, and along the way it sustained extensive damage. Windscreen, fairing, mirror, handlebar, foot peg, shifting mechanism, frame, Givi frame, and rear turn signal were all damaged, requiring replacement or expensive repairs. This company offered an apology and $200 as compensation. They cited that we had no proof (despite before and after photos) and that they had no responsibility to verify and ensure the bike's functionality before and after shipping. But wait, there's more: They lied. They lied when they delivered and unloaded the bike, saying that "there was a small problem" and that the mirror was "lost" and the turn signal plastic cover broken, they didn't know how, but perhaps something landed on it during shipping. In actual fact, all the evidence points to that they dropped this motorcycle, likely from a height, breaking not just the fragile fairing but solid metal pieces. The foot peg was not just bent. The end of it was broken clean off. The frame was bent. In fact, they went as far as to remove and WELD the cracked, and now crooked, aluminum piece that sits behind the shifting mechanism -- and NEVER TOLD US ABOUT IT. This is a piece that is not visible upon cursory inspection of the motorcycle. They went to the trouble of secretly "fixing" it and putting it back in place before delivering the bike. The delivery man hurriedly offered to order and ship a replacement mirror and turn signal cover -- which he did. But in fact, the entire turn signal mechanism was broken and needed to be replaced. The fairing and windscreen cost upwards of $700 and the repair bill to straighten the frame and replace the shifter unit ran into the hundreds of dollars. The insurance we purchased, it turns out, only covers "total loss" -- i.e., if the ship sinks. It doesn't matter if they tell you they have experience shipping motorcycles. It doesn't matter if they reassure you that they will take care of everything. When they cause damage to your property, they will say sorry, but we are not responsible. These people know they cannot be held accountable. Do not trust them with anything you deem valuable.
I used them 4 times over the years. I want to let people know and to encurage anyone to use in confidence WORLD LINE CARGO to send parcels or any other items to/from Romania.
